2015 Bosman players

Suso can't even game at Liverpool and I wouldn't be surprised to see him move on. Linked to Milan recently as well.

Not really too sure about Vidal tbh...he has barely made an appearance for juve this season.

Don't think we'll sign Chiellini.I'd think LVG will go for a right-footed defender if he want to sign any.

The ship has sailed with Vidal, if we were ever going to sign him it would have been last Summer. He clearly has some fitness issues plus I don't even think he is what we need at the moment.

Chiellini and Rabiot seem like the obvious picks, one's a left-footed experienced very good central defender and the other one seems to have bags of potential. I'm wondering, how's Yann M'Vila fared in, uhm, Italy? Or was it Russia? I remember that a couple of years ago he was highly rated albeit there were some problems with his behaviour.

I like Andre Ayew as well, not sure we need another attacking player but he'd bring some pace here. ( depending on the system we use of course ) What about Kramer ? He's a CDM, isn't he? German NT capped and stuff, worth a punt surely.

God, I feel like a kid in a candy store.

A diamond with AdM at the tip, Vidal and Herrera on either side and Strootmaan at the base would probably be the scariest midfield in Europe, and by a huge distance.
Not that I think we are getting him...

Didn't see Delph or Winston Reid in that list but I've heard their names linked with us along with Vlaar obviously. I'd rather see our youth given a chance than mid table, players in their late 20's brought in even in free transfers.

Doesn't even need to go for Strootman, at least in the short future. Blind is doing quite well. Vidal or Pogba would be great, to complete the puzzle.

Chiellini's a no brainer. He's as close as we're going to get to a Vidic replacement, at this point of time. Doesn't matter if we have Evans and Rojo as left footed CBs because they're no match for this mad nutter. I'd definitely take a punt on Khedira and/or De Jong too. We can never have too many good midfielders and we'll need the cover anyway, if we manage to offload the dross in the coming transfer window. Konoplyanka/Yarmolenko are also decent bets who are most certainly going to be improvements on Young and Valencia and could even go on to become really good players.

I expect our back four would find it pretty scary playing behind three box-box midfielders, offering them little protection. I definitely prefer Di Maria in a deeper position too, running into space.

From the list in the OP, Chiellini and De Jong would probably be the ones we'd find most useful, but I imagine they'll be signing new deals relatively soon.

He'd be a brilliant signing for Everton if they could get him.

Chiellini is on the verge of signing a new contract, likely for an additional three years. There's no worries there because Juventus know he's not going to leave.

Yeah Chiellini said last week that he wants to finish his career at Juve.

Did Zlatan extend his Paris deal then? 3 years initially but not on the OP list.

Goal for Chiellini tonight, beat the keeper in the air like Vida in his prime. Would be great if he would come here but he seems loyal to Juventus even if they won't pay as much as us.

according to google he is on 3million euros a year so about 2.5 million quid or around £50K a week so yeah we could probably tripple his wages without too much trouble

That's 3 million euros a year post tax, so double your numbers. And don't forget Premier League wages are listed pre-tax, so add some more.

Fair enough 3m post tax (43%) I think in Italy is 4.29m euros pre tax or around £3.6m which is around £70k a week pre tax
So yeah I still think when you look at what we pay rooney falcao etc we could certainly double or even treble it

Why did we send agent Paddy over to Juve in thde first place? He failed with Vidal, now it looks like he'll fail to get us Chiellini.

That's not quite correct but I understand the confusion. Rowem explained it well a month ago:

The OP is stupidly misleading by comparing pre-tax salaries with post-tax salaries, and the majority of people in this thread don't seem to get it at all.

You need to take off 45% from the PL player's pre-tax wages.

So for example, Richards at City would have been on roughly 35k post-tax, which isn't too much different from the 26k at Fiorentina, and we can probably assume City weren't offering him the same amount he was on previously due to dropping out of their first team plans.

Pogba being on 23k post-tax is like being on 40k pre-tax, which was obviously a lot when he signed at 18/19.

De Rossi's pre-tax wage is (at a quick estimate) about 200k a week.

So the £70k a week equals roughly £130k a week, which is what Mata earns or nearly twice what Rojo earns.

Where has 130k come from? That's not correct.

If he earns 3m a year post tax, all you need to do is add back the tax per the tax rate to obtain a pre tax salary. You can use the English tax rate if you want to know how it'd be listed in the UK to match his salary.

€3m is approx £2.5m. Ignoring tax bands and what not, higher rate is 45%. Assuming NI isnt included in post tax, the number to make his salary equal 2.5m post tax is approx 4.5m. That's 86k p/w.

Using that method
€3m post tax is £2.4m post tax (based on €1.25 = £1 which is the current exchange rate)
Taking off 45% from a gross wage of £4.365m
4.365m - (45(4.365m/100)
Or 4.365m - (45* 43,650)
Or 4.365 - 1964250
Is £2,400,750 post tax
(Or just divide 2.4m by 0.55)
So just over the £2.4m post tax equating to the €3m euros in Italy
£2,400,750 over 52 weeks is £46,168 post tax
£4.365m pre tax over 52 weeks is £83,942 per week
Or around 40k a week less than we pay Ashley faking young!
Wages wouldnt be an issue (him wanting to sign might be)
Kompany is apparently on £10.5m pre tax to put it in perspective

So Konoplyanka will end up going on a free after they've fannied about with fees/not selling him for two years?

Dad just came back from italy. Chiellini is an easy target now. We are starting to be reported over there but only if we can be in a strong league position. I assume CL.

Anyway, i was happy with vlaar but knowing this i feel like it is a no brainer.

Sami Khedira (27) Real Madrid
Marcelo (26) Real Madrid
Giorgio Chiellini (30) Juventus
Evgen Konoplyanka (24) Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk
Ron Vlaar (29) Aston Villa

Chiellini is the standout for me even though hes 30 I still think he has something to offer the club, one of the best CBs in the world.

Dont see us getting Chiellini. Would be great to get him but I'm not so sure.
He's a massive cu.t but we need one of those in defense right now.

He obviously loves juventus, but we are back in with the big boys in terms of projects. Looking at how most teams have weakend except possibly barca, the champions league is definitely open for us to win considering we qualify and keep the likes of falcao.
