Ángel Di María | Transferred to PSG

I don't think there's any issue. LVG gave a similar response during last season. I think he would be open to selling him but isn't in a rush too. He's expected to join up on the 25th and i'm sure he's going nowhere.

Worrying signs seeing as LvG was so non-commital about it. Feck... :(

Possible to get a threadmark and what's just made this thread explode?

He just isn't built for the premier league i dont think. I honestly dont care if he goes, i never really got immersed in the transfer when it happened i never felt like he genuinely wanted to be here. he was tossed out of madrid and we happened to be the ones to fork out the money.

just keep him ffs. its angel di maria. what do people think would be his replacement? forget about bale or reus or whatever. if he leaves it would weaken our attack, simple as that. Besides we have to focus on getting a striker, a CB and maybe a keeper in, we can´t feck arround with replacing Di Maria.

LVG's it's a process line at the end of his answer of Di Maria seemed to indicate something is going on.

He was no commital to that question as if he didn't care that much either way.

If he leaves certain X factor in his team reduces.

Lot of people dont care if he goes. But I think it would be madness to sell him. If we sell him that weakens our attack and we need to buy yet another new player..

I think he lost some faith in him last season, however with a more solid base maybe he'll shine more consistently if given the chance.

It was a bizarre signing really. He bought him of his best season playing centrally ahead of 2 holding mids but then didn't know what to do with him in his "philosophy" and ended up wanting him to play as a touchline hugging winger for couple of matches where he stunk.

I haven't seen it yet, but from what I've heard, it doesn't sound good. But with Van Gaal, who the feck knows. This could be motivational, or it could be a bitchslap. I'd like to see Angel stay and fight for his place personally. If he can rack up the stats he did in a very poor season, imagine what he could do in a good one. Fergie would relish the challenge. His strength was always knowing who to coddle and who to blast...Louis, on the other hand, seems like a master blaster taskmaster general. Going on that, I'm pessimistic. But honestly, I've literally no idea.

Please no, Lucas is like Navas 2.0. He's fast and okay on Fifa, but nowhere near world class and nowhere near the talent the most made him out to be.
he's great player with world class potential, still 22 a lot of ironing needed but Luis could do that, maybe we're good with what we have but if we want one palayer from them it should be him.. assuming no place for Verrati.. Cavani's overrated..

I think LvG was in a bad mood and may walk back some of the things he said in the presser. Maybe not on Valdes but possibly on Adm.

If anyone offers at least £50m then there's no chance he's going, fully rodent him to start the new season at United

Use him as a bargaining chip to get one of Bayern's superstars and i will be thriller.

He could have told the press that he is staying and don't invent Rubbish etc.. though even in a bad mood. He was more non commital and process line of his always seems to indicate something is going on.

He's no great player, he is a good talent but even if his age group there are so many better players than him. I dont think he has world class potential, because bar dribbling and taking players on, there's very little to his game. Although if we want one winger pure for the trickery and Depay on the other site who's more focused on productivity it might be an option. But we should get a heavy fee from them if possible. Marquinhos would be a decent option for us.

Sterling is not producing much else than dribbling, he can't finish, Hazard wasn't prolific either before he joined Chelsea and the early years. Sometimes these players needs time, he has it in him, quite a good vision too.. not saying he will become world beater but has the potential that's for sure, I could find a lot of people who would agree that he's better player than Depay now..

Well, he's back on the 25th, which means nothing is going to happen until then.

Reckon there will be discussion between ADM and the club, ADM will most likely want assurances that he will play. He even alluded to being a bit miffed at being left out.

All these reports of him and PSG now seems obvious they're BS. Nothing happens until August at the earliest.

I'll be sad to see him go. I really thought he'd become the United player we all wanted him to be.

Him leaving now would be travesty seeing as we have finally put a midfield together.

I think Sterling is quite better in the final third than he is, Sterling has hit double figures two seasons in a row now and has shown being able to play behind the striker too. Sterling actually has decent vision for his style of player, but maybe Lucas would be able to producing that from the left too. Lucas his task is more in putting crosses.

Hazard had 20 goals and 16 assists in the Ligue 1 in the season before he joined Chelsea. Lucas has 19 assists and 12 goals in 2.5 season for PSG, the champion in France for the past 3 seasons.

Lucas plays at PSG a far bigger club than PSV so I bet most people would put it that way, but I doubt Lucas could produce what Depay did last season. Lucas doesnt even get in the National Team anymore, while Depay is now turning into the key player for the Netherlands.

'Its a process' LVG during that presser got a bit pissed off and the Valdes thing got him into a state of answering the questions truthfully and the journo's sensed it and start throwing questions at him.

I think his over reacted with the ADM thing and at the end he did say that 'his coming here' but LVG knows that the journo's will pickup on the fact that he hasn't clarified properly about ADM's future at UTD.

I think now that we have a solid midfield ADM should without the worry of trekking back do his magic and show us what he is capable of.

And tbf, he's always said he'd let players leave who wanted to. Unless it's DDG, obviously... I think we're all a bit too used to Fergie's method of management to have any real idea of what Van Gaal means by that. If it were Fergie, it'd mean he was off. But with Louis, I'm half of the opinion that if he were off, he'd just say he was off.

I'm pretty sure now that di maria wants to leave, and it'd be hugely disappointing if we allow this to happen without a proper replacement.

Its just one extra player we have to replace and sign. We were doing well. Looks like were to sign a striker, a central defender, maybe a GK and now a winger.

I was just thinking this. Its incredible how the whole thing just snowballed and he told the world the transfer status of our players. Terrible management of the journos.

Funny enough, the only line that kind of says Di Maria wants to come back, is the one everyone is ignoring. LVG says 'He has said to me that he shall come on the 25th'. I pretty much guarantee that line will not be in any reports tomorrow.

As much as I'd like him to stay at present he wouldn't make my starting XI nor do I really see a need to replace him if he does go, we have more than enough options in his position with Mata, Januzaj, Young and Depay

Well that's a bit shit then. Sounds like there's a good chance he'll be off.

His performance when he came on against West Brom summed him up last season, he put in some fecking terrible crosses, jogged around and genuinely looked like he couldn't be arsed.

He also almost scored from about 25 yards, and put in a fantastic cross that we should have equalised from. He was mostly shit all season and yet was still one of our most dangerous players. Be gutted if he goes.

I think he will stay. Only way he will be allowed to leave is if 1. we get offer which is bigger than what we paid for him and 2. we have another winger lined up who can score goals.
