I wonder how will the club's official statement sound like? Will they wish him all the best like they usually do or will actually have a subtle dig if all the rumors of him being AWOL were true.
doesnt Nike get (used to get) shirt monies?
What about logic?

I was joking.
I actually think PSG have a better shot at winning the UCL than any of the english clubs atm
I think it will be like that but I hope the club actually has some dig for the cnut he has acted whilst he was here.I'd say it'll be:
"Manchester United has confirmed Angel Di Maria has joined Paris-Saint Germain for a fee of (£44m?). Angel scored 4 goals and provided 13 assists last season for the club in Louis van Gaal's debut season in charge. The club would like the Angel for his service."
This PSG team has never gone beyond the QFs stage despite having those players with them. Plus they play in a league which is absolutely dominated by them because of the money they can spunk. That may be a good thing for some players, not that great for others. Not to mention that Ligue 1 has way, way less following that EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, etc.I agree completely which is why the befuddlement surrounding this deal is weird to me. Cavani, Thiago Silva, Matuidi, Ibrahimovic, Di Maria, Verratti, Marquinhos and Pastore... I mean these are world class players who'd all have a great chance at being the best player at ANY Premier League club at present.
The way people are acting on here you'd think he'd joined an Irish league side.

Yeah, I agree that our loss will be minimal primarily because I don't think we paid the full amount up front. However, we need someone to replace him. If we get 65 million Euros for him, we should look at some of the best players on the continent as that amount should suffice to get almost any player here.We payed 65 million euro's which including add ons could rise up to 75; however I doubt that those add ons have been paid as we havent won anything and di Maria individually also hasnt won anything. We're now getting 63-65 million euro's for ADM; so basically we are getting almost all of the money back. The loss will be very insignificant. Well done Ed.
That is like saying City could do great if they did not have Barca in their group or in the knock out stages! Please tell me which team knocked them out usually.... Barcelona and on one of the occations they came very close to eliminating them. Think it was the 12/13 season.
They lost to Chelsea in the QF before, Mou did a number on them tbh, however every season, they seem to be getting much more competitive in the UCL and I would be interested to see what happens if they can avoid having to face Barca in the knockouts before the semis

Considering my original statement was that PSG have a better chance of winning it than any of the english clubs atm, then why is your comment even relavent? City are an english club.
EDIT: Also in 12/13 they were VERY unluckly not to knock Barca out and reach the semis.
My point is relevant because you claim that PSG would do better if they did not meet Barca in the UCL. However, City have been placed in Barca's group or faced them in the knock outs for 3 consecutive seasons. Can you use that as an excuse for their utter failure in the CL? If not, then why is that put forth as an excuse for PSG's failure to qualify beyond the QFs?
Also, lucky or not, PSG got knocked out by Barca. Every fixture has lot of luck associated with it. Were we lucky to win it in 1999 when we scored two last gasp goals from corners?

All this talk of merchandising and I bet we've not officially licensed the Fellaini wigs .
I'm sure we won't be paying add ons. We haven't won anything and his appearances were as low as his performances. I doubt we've lost that much. We've probably made a bit on the Falcao and Di Maria merch. Who wouldn't want that ugly looking face for a Halloween mask?
they weren't winning much and were up and down the table in a meh league now they are champions in a meh league. if a irish team got the money that PSG had they maybe getting to the QF of CL.
English clubs struggle to get to the QFs in recent years.
the last 3 , prior to that england had 8 finalists. let alone many more in the QF stages. france had one. and it wasn't PSG.

My point was about how competitive they have become in the competition. Its almost as if it has gone unoticed to quite a few people.
I also didn't say they would do better if they didn't face Barca, I simply just pointed out that Barca was the team to knock them out after someone said they hadn't gone past the QFs.
Where as I think for the past 3/4 years they have always reached the QFs where as english clubs have struggled to get that far mostly (including City)
Facking hell this is a long medical.
Must be trying to locate his spine and bollix
You mentioned that you would be interested to see what would happen if they can avoid facing Barca before the semis. That clearly shows you think they can proceed further if not for Barca, although Mourinho has also knocked them out before than with Chelsea. Point to note is that although English clubs have not made the semis for a couple of years but neither has PSG, so to say they have a better chance of winning the CLs than any of the English clubs is based on nothing tbh.

PSG and United are probably on an equal footing financially. I will admit that United's riches have been accumulated over time and not given to them by some sugar daddy.. which is why United are a proper club and perhaps teams like City, PSG and Chelsea in their current states are not.
Unfortunately, as fans, we have to accept that the players are usually always mercenaries in these situations and will go to wherever the grass is greener presently and that is PSG in this case.
No its based on me watching UCL matches and deeming that they are more competitive in the big games than the english clubs. You don't have to share the opinion, but don't tell me my opinion is based on nothing.
I already said Chelsea knocked them out once.
I said yes I would be interested to see how they could progress if they didn't face Barca, because I would be interested to see how competitive they would be vs Bayern/Real Madrid.
competitive in CL? we'll see. I wonder where they'd be if they played in a real league where they couldn't rest players for the big matchs?
I have watched them in the CL as well. I never thought they had it in their team to go all the way. I agree that your opinion is just as valid as mine and I was wrong to dismiss it out of hand. I would only like to point out that your statement that they have a better chance of winning the CL than any English team is not backed by stats.
You can say what you like about the league, but yes it further supports my point that they likely have a better chance at winning the UCL than the english sides, which was my point in the first place.
well united won 2 by being pushed all they way by arse and chelsea. PSG may have the league won prior to it starting but they will not win CL.
City just bought Sterling. We bought Bastian, Morgan, Depay and Darmian (so far). Arsenal bought Cech. Chelsea will probably buy decent as well. Why would you think that English teams have not continued to strengthen at the rate of PSG?Don't care, I always find stats are misleading anyway, and statically if you aggregate the last 3 years, they have done better than or at least matched the english teams. If you add to that they continue to improve the squad at a rate better than the best english side atm (Chelsea) then thats where I come to my conclusion.
