Álvaro Morata | Performances

Absolutely amazing to see how many people think they can judge a player in any way based on a 15 minute sub appearance here. Muppets.

These are the same people that if Morata had signed for Utd which looked likely a while ago would be proclaiming him as the best striker in the league.

You sure? Me thinks you are talking rubbish without any proof.

No they're not but keep believing that. A player can be criticized as long as it's done fairly. Morata has all the time in the world to prove himself a fantastic striker, at the moment, even if it's been preseason basically, he has looked a bit average.

Same thing would have been said had he been at United, the whole different treatment is a fiction as you should know by the Utd fans on the caf can be ruthless regarding their own players.

Great way too generalize too, as if one would say all Spurs fans are as narrow minded as Glaston.

It's not amazing if you've been here for any longer than 5 minutes. Go look in any of the player performances threads over the last couple of seasons. You'd be surprised how many experts we've got here. Agenda bumpers I call them. They'll appear out of the woodwork to say I told you so when player X has a bad/good game.

Just experience of internet forums.

Check ManUtd player performance thread for any player, for any player they are doubters and there are people who back players. So saying If morata signed for Manutd, you guys would have said this that is completely wrong.

Ok fair enough, I am right generally about football forums though - every team has one and every team has guys who overrate their own players and downplay the ability of other players, particularly players who they wanted to sign for their club. That's just the way it is. I include Spurs forums in this in case you are wondering.

Not sure about that. It was very much divided opinions when Morata was linked with ManUtd (I wanted him at ManUtd) and still it is divided opinion. Maybe people who didn't want him are the ones who are loudest in this thread.

If anything I feel other players are very overrated here.

I don't understand why Morata isn't rated. I think - based on what I've read and having watched him play less than a dozen times - that he'll do really well at Chelsea.

The flipside is that they are posters who prefer to have a moan and complain about everything associated with their club. I don't know if other forums also have this, but we definitely do. Probably due to the club being less successful recently than ever in PL history.

Even if were not so, it'd still be wrong to generalize to the point of dismissing everyone's opinion. It's like saying we should ignore your opinion on everything Spurs related - after all you'd think differently if you weren't a Spurs fan.

Every club has fans that are constantly unhappy with how things are going at their club, it's just human nature. I'm active on a couple of fan forums including this one and I can assure you that certainly from a Spurs perspective we have plenty of fans who are very unhappy with the lack of spending and the way Levy runs the club in general. I shouldn't generalise however it is a truth that some fans are never happy.

Redcafe doesn't think one way about anything.

Yeah, I find that whole thing one of the strangest wilful misconceptions you find on here. Small, discrete sections of this heterogenous group of people have expressed different opinions at different times. Bloody hypocrites!!

Exactly, it happens quite frequently and is quite bizarre in that it's so obviously flawed.

Conte might stop slagging him off now?

Very good Premier debut, nice assist. A bit anxious but hungry and very active. He has to remember that can't argue with referees any more.

Great player. The assist and goal both fantastic.

Showed Batshuayi what a striker should be doing in general play too. Made a huge difference to have a striker that actually showed for the ball and brought it under control.

He'll be a success at Chelsea. Made a palpable difference to their attacking game once he came on. Great goal and assist, couldve had another one.
