Probably true yeah.Or he has too much pride in putting accurate information out instead of hearsay and rumor...as in he doesn't belong in modern (sports) journalism
That's normal for transfers, least it has been during my lifetime anyway. The club won't say anything about a transfer until it's done and dusted. This transfer is beginning to whiff of the usual summer bullshit transfer saga that we seem to get embroiled in every summer e.g. Gaitan, Vidal etc. The club have said nothing about it, the player hasn't mentioned us directly as far as I can recall. Utter nonsense all of it.
He is on international duty, can't go much further atm
Spain have finished their international matches now.He is on international duty, can't go much further atm
We buy their local lad who they deem surplus to requirements.
They take that money and buy the most exciting talent in Europe.
Sounds about right.

Maybe Mbappe prefers Madrid to us, so won't even entertain our offer.
Perfectly plausible. At this current stage, incredibly likely.
We have to stop using the "why are we choosing Morata over Mbappe?!!!?!". A vast majority of players right now would pick Madrid over us right now.

That exciting young talent will cost double what we're paying for their local lad (who by the way, they would much prefer to keep). Not to mention one player wants to come to us while the other doesn't.We buy their local lad who they deem surplus to requirements.

Word.I rather have 100 pound than 100 euros to spend
The original 'clutch' word was from cloke/claw of an animal and meant a tight grip e.g. in the clutches of an eagle. This was also the origin of the automotive use, from how the engine/transmission is gripped and reflects in such usage like the 'clutches of death'. Essentially it was used to describe gripping something tightly
The usage in regards to high pressured moment, seems to come from the notion that in such moments people are said to feel a 'tightening in the chest' as if their heart is being gripped/clutched, i.e. high pressure moments = clutch moments. It was most likely popularized by american sports with baseball being the culprit.
A clutch player/person can then be said to be someone delivers in clutch moments i.e. he performs well under high pressure. This is usually a desired characteristics for star players as you want you best players to perform at their best when it is needed most
At the minute there isn't much bloody difference!I rather have 100 pound than 100 euros to spend
Because they will get Mbappe sooner or later plus Asensio and 70MI'm sure he'd prefer to stay at Real Madrid. I'm sure that with Benzema near 30 they would like to keep Morata. How are we so sure we're not getting strung along?

It's not exactly like grocery shopping where the goods don't have a choice and the buyers do. Players have preferences too and you can only get a deal done when all parties agree. We buy their local lad who they deem surplus to requirements.

When it comes to Mbappe (and he's a massive risk - much bigger risk than Morata), it's obvious to everyone and his dog that he would opt for Real. And why not? 3 CLs in 4 seasons, Madrid weather, Zidane etc. It should be obvious we're doing the right thing.
As for not funding their purchases, well, then we shouldn't ever buy any player because any purchase funds the selling club! This is the very definition of cutting the nose to spite the face.
Di Marzio reported that Mourinho was bewithced by M'bappe and he was our number 1 priority about a month back. It then came out that M'bappe wouldn't come here because he hates Mourinhos playstyle. So going off what Uniteds most reliable Journo said, we already tried and got told to kindly feck off by M'bappe himself. We have the money we are cash rich we should hopefully test Monaco's resolve first. If Mbappe knocks us back (doubt it as we can more than match or better than most) then fair enough. Morata is quality but Mbappe just looks off the chart. But if Mbappe says no then delighted with Morata.
Talk about the ultimate burnDi Marzio reported that Mourinho was bewithced by M'bappe and he was our number 1 priority about a month back. Link to that report? And who would be leaking this to Di Marzi? I don't think anyone from either camp would be doing this.Di Marzio reported that Mourinho was bewithced by M'bappe and he was our number 1 priority about a month back. Let's be real, if i was a defender i would be jumping at Mourinho, if i was an attacker he would probably be the last manager at a big club that i'd want to play for unless i fancied converting to wingback.Talk about the ultimate burn

You think the club will say that we were told to do one by a teenager from France? You really need to see how the club actually spins stories when they cannot land a target to understand how ridiculous that sounds.Di Marzio:

Don't know who would leak it but it's clear Di Marzio has connections within the club, unless we're only believing him when it's good news now.
The club didn't say shit about being rejected, don't know where your pulling that from?. Di Marzio only reported our interest, the L'equipe article came a few weeks later. Both tier 1 sources. Aah. I thought that your post above was about Di Marzio saying we were rejected by M'bappe. Makes sense what you say although L'equipe also have made their fair share of crap stories. The club didn't say shit about being rejected, don't know where your pulling that from?. It's from madrid-bias Marca, so take with a pinch of salt.

Why not? He's so hyped up right now he can pick pretty much anyone he wants, snubbing one manager isn't going to limit his options much. And for all we know he wants to stay at Monaco, from the interviews he's given he sounds like a pretty switched on guy who's being careful with his career.Aah. Anyway, I doubt a young player will say "No thanks" to one of the best managers around. That honestly makes little sense unless he intends to stay at his club or his heart is already set somewhere else.
