Really disappointed we didn't go for Ozil, he has a level of quality that's rare in football in general, let alone in our team. Would certainly have been one of our best three players, would have added creativity that our team often seems to lack and would have made us a much bigger threat in the CL and well as the PL. One of those players you have to go for if they're available, I would have thought.

Must suck for you. Getting bale for 80mil while letting go of Ozil for 40.
All well and good signing him and he'll be a very good player but it doesn't really address any weaknesses in the team. They need a holding midfielder, a defender and a striker. The £40m would have been better spent elsewhere, even though Ozil is a brilliant player.
Chasing Suarez all window then signing Ozil is a little odd.

Only Schalke fans would call him a bigger talent, Götze is clearly on another level. Of course Draxler has lots of talent as well, nowhere near the vision of Özil though and not Götze's overall ability. He's more a forward than a playmaker, very direct. So far he looks like he's more suited to a counterattacking style. It's really tough to compare Götze, Özil, Kroos and Draxler. Özil and Kroos only fit in specific setups. Draxler and Götze should be able to play anywhere in the attacking third.
I'm sure Pete will agree it lacks steel.
Our midfield will be Arteta, Ramsey, Cazorla, Ozil and Walcott. If Wilshere is fit and in form, he takes Arteta's place and him and Ramsey share the defensive work.
