Whatever. It's debatable but he is a feck ton better than every other player with have in attack than them two. By a mile.

Anyways, if he goes to Arse I will be happy for them. Glad to see a top talent joining the Prem and Arse fans deserve to get an exciting recruit in finally.

Right, but Ozil hates having competition for spots and he'd be directly competing with Rooney, who is just as good as him.

I think he's class and I would like him here but I think the fact that it's Arsenal who are signing him is making people go over the top completely on this, we should have far higher priorities than Ozil.

Who would you put above then

Loads of people.

They've got a massive incentive to make up absolute bollocks.

They own a betting company who take bets on transfer news and they're a 24 hour news station who WILL make up shit to fill up blank air time because that shit is poisonous to that channel.

Why? They're all as bad as each other.

It's a scattergun approach, yes SSN will get a lot right, but they also run the most rumours and therefore get the most wrong. The Independent, Times and Guardian probably get the fewest wrong but also make the fewest predictions.

Sky Sports are no better than the Sun, Express or Mail. You'd be a mug to take their word as gospel.

You know that mate that everyone has who can never pull a bird and you kinda look at him and think "life could be worse I could be him"...

Well that mate has now just pulled a fecking worldy, an your sitting by yourself telling yourself everything going to be ok.

The mates called Arsenal.

THIS !

I don't take the word as gospel, but apart from the clubs actually confirming signings themselves who do you go to for confirmation? The Daily Mail wrote 5 times that Bale was a done deal this summer, 5 times. Sky Sports announces it is done, and people pretty much know it's done.

He joined a team with Kaka and Ronaldo in the positions he usually played at his old club, somehow I doubt that's true.

Spanish chat shows say the club deal (Madrid Arsenal) is done but the Arsenal Ozil deal isn't done yet.
Could yet go to the wire if there's competition

The BBC, or the Press Association.

They're ok for bollocks like that. There's no incentive for them to make it up (if anything they'd rather talk endlessly about the saga), but they're effectively toilet, if you look at their accuracy stats its pretty clear what their game is. Around 50% accuracy for rumours about clubs that are bottom of the leaguers and closer to 10% for clubs with big fanbases that they can attract to the show by making up stuff.

I could see this being accurate. Still think it will be gazumped.

If madrid is open to sell we should put in a £45 m offer. There is no world in which Ozil would prefer Arsenal over us, there is a world in which Real could say yes to a £42.5m offer for Arsenal, if there aren't any better bids on the table !

I would go mad if Ozil goes to Arsenal. He is one of the best players in the world, it is crazy that Madrid are letting him go, but with the Bale deal now finally being done, I can see why they would sell him (to raise some cash). But if we let Arsenal have him.... There are no words to describe how disappointed I would be in the club if that happened !

Ed needs to hijack this deal, I still think Wenger will get cold feet at the thought of spending £40m.

Will be the marquee signing of the entire window if Arsenal and Wenger pull this off. Ozil will take this current Arsenal squad up a level and back into contention for the top 4.

Would prefer he joined United, but we are now well stocked in that position. Hope they pull it off, as he is a player we'd all pay to watch.

well if we miss out I would like other London clubs give chelski competition in Derby's moanrinio had it too easy last time around, of all rival clubs (city, chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham) i would prefer he went to Arsenal, if he rejects us or Wooodward messes it up.

"United didn't actually submit a bid to Madrid - it never arrived."
According to Pedrerol on Punto Pelota.

I thought our interest was paper talk...so that's hardly surprising. It probably all hinged on Rooney, though, now that he's staying there's no need to folk out that type of cash on a player who plays in a similar position.

If he goes there, it'll be one of those we look back at the end of this season and wonder why in the name of feck we didn't go in for him...

He's a genuinely brilliant player and one of the best in the world at what he does, you can never have a shortage of those types of players.

He can play on the left wing as well even if Kagawa and Rooney play centrally behind the striker. We can have own three amigos with Rooney, Kagawa and Ozil all interchanging their positions.

Anyone who has seen him play more than once is already wondering why the feck we didn't sign him.

Sounds like a cluster feck, you need some width

City tried that method and it looked dire at times

Woodward sent it by pigeon to save on a 2nd class stamp.

Nah, he wanted to go to Madrid himself, but did not catch his next flight in Germany and got lost there.

Did you not see, how long it took him to get back from Australia earlier this summer?

City had Nasri. All three are better than Nasri.

I was talking about the system not the players, it lacked width and was nothing to really do with Nasri, no more than Silva or Aguero
