I have almost given up on us signing anyone (including Fellaini - we will probably mess that up as well)

Why would he pick PSG ahead of Arsenal? Arsenal are a big club with history and their team is on par with PSG even now. They also play in a far better and competitive league.

If PSG are in for him, THIS. We will know tomorrow.

PSG are all over the place, too many cooks. They can't find the right balance on the pitch. He could be better off going somewhere different like Arsenal, I would love to see him in the Premiership. I feel we will sign a player or two tomorrow.

It's rumours to me until there is something concrete. Using your logic, we were in advanced talks with Thiago. We now know, we weren't at any time.

Sky and BBC never reported that though like they are reporting this. It was all Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime on Twitter. Feel free to keep believing there's nothing in this though.

Arsenal on a par with PSG? Nah they aren't

Ozil would walk into our squad and lets face it 42.5m is actually pretty cheap for a player of his quality in todays market. Really hope this isn't true.

More money, better chance to win silverware, more money again.

I never said there is nothing in it. Words in my mouth. I am sure Wenger is trying, he has tried quite a few if we are to believe what we read.

I just can't see Ozil going there.

Sky Sports: Denial.

Talksport: No denial.

Hmmmm who should I believe, the most reliable sports news reporters, or a bunch of shite-speaking ex footballers who beat up their girlfriends, lie to their twitter followers about signings rather than just ask for donations for charity, or a pair of sexist idiots, one of which knows less about football than my dead grandma? Tricky one

I reckon it'd be the reporters.

Would be madness for a player of that quality to drop to Arsenal's level. Looks like it could be a goer though.

I do have this funny feeling he won't go to Arsenal tomorrow. Not to put them down much, but they are an incredibly big step down from Real, and Ozil has been a proper first team player for the past 3 seasons. If he was a fringe player I would completely understand... but he isn't

He's always been one of the first ones subbed off though.

At the start of the summer no one would have expected it. He was negotiating a contract renewal. Bale or not he was going to be the #10, Mr Assists.

Then Isco came in, and with Bale that's Ozil's job and his alternate position gone. The contract renewal stalled. Di Maria decided he liked Ancelotti and wanted to stay.

Madrid aren't trying to sell him. Ozil wants out and they'll take the right offer. Madrid even have a scouting report on him that says he plays best when he has no competition for his place. It might be true.

Yes but that silverware is Ligue 1, I doubt he's that bothered. Between playing against quality opposition and breezing through Ligue 1 games I'd probably prefer the former.

London is also nearly as attractive to live in as Paris from what I've seen so that won't be a problem either.

Nah this one looks done - BBC & SSN are generally correct. Very good deal for Arsenal and I'm kinda happy for Wenger, he's got a lot of abuse recently.

*this is a jinx attempt

He's got next to no chance to start for them this season, it's understandable that he might want to leave and Arsenal aren't really that bad an option.

Probably the reporters. Doesn't really prove anything though. Other outlets have published both those quotes too, they were both definitely said, so it has nothing to do wither either Sky Sports or Talksport. The point is Thiago and Mazinho are contradicting each other.

We should throw £30 million at Real, buy Wayne a spanish language CD and send him on his way to Madrid first thing tomorrow, contract in hand ready-signed.

World Cup year as well, with the talent Germany have its no surprise he wants first team football.

I mean its Brazil 2014.. could be one of the greatest ever and every player must be dreaming of it

We have lost Pogba and missed out on Hazard in the past 2 seasons due to stinginess with wages and fees. Now perhaps we miss out on Özil. Oh well, 39 year-old Ryan Giggs is always available, and even Phil Jones has proven he can play an attacking midfield role.

he's not a better player than Rooney.

Whatever. It's debatable but he is a feck ton better than every other player with have in attack than them two. By a mile.

Anyways, if he goes to Arse I will be happy for them. Glad to see a top talent joining the Prem and Arse fans deserve to get an exciting recruit in finally.
