Yep, that's the part I'll agree on. Plenty of refs will give an extra chance...but if a player commits to a bookable offences, he really should be getting booked. The time of the game, and distance between each offence, should be irrelevant.

The dealing out cards is often inconsistent. Was this careless or reckless? From FIFA Laws 12-1, page nine. I've seen that given and not given.

And what refs send off players for two offences 25 minutes. They weren't malicious challenges. A sensible ref would have given a warning. But I guess with Dean the warning bit only applies to the home team.

Remember this is the same ref who gave a pen for holding in the pen box against us. Yet that happens in every box in every game. There is literally no consistency with Mike Dean. Shit ref.

It doesn't matter if it's consistent with the way ever single offence in the history of the game has been judged, it's consistent with how Dean has decided to ref this game. Go in swinging like that a couple of minutes after the initial yellow was just incredibly stupid and Dean was entitled to get the second yellow out. No problem with his refereeing there, all the blame on Mata.
