In fairness the sending off might actually prove helpful. Now West Brom are expected to attack and go for the win. Plus it's an away game against a physical midfield so we already know Mata would be utterly worthless on the pitch.

I will say that often an attacker goes to hist the ball and the defender gets in first and gets clobberd and that is seen as okay (to say nothing of heading fouls - I was going for the ball but I crack the opponent in the head.)

Remember this is the same ref who gave a pen for holding in the pen box against us. Yet that happens in every box in every game. There is literally no consistency with Mike Dean. Shit ref.

If a player makes 2 bookable offences within the 25mins, the ref has to book him. If he hadn't booked him, Mata would be lucky.

He just couldn't wait to pull his cards out tonight and show his authority. Just let the game flow, it was silly from Mata but c'mon a warning should have been alright. Dean is so incompetent and he'll probably let the other players get away with worser fouls next week while brandishing yellows for soft fouls like that. It makes me mad how they are never taken accountable for their decisions.

We have like 20 passes backwards and forwards in our own end, lob it forward only to have a defender lob it right back in and Rondon makes ONE run at our defenders and gets something out of it.
