Just can't see that squad getting a win, away from home.

It would be a big minus against him if we lost, but I dont think i'd make his position untenable. Even Brendan was retained after getting knocked out, and there's a huge possibilty that Wenger and Mourinho join him in the Europa.I'd say that its the biggest game of LVG's MUFC career.
Yep.We don't need CSKA to win do we? Just hold PSV to a draw?
I think we'll draw in Germany, so if the other game is a draw as well we'd sneak through wouldn't we?

Get the ball wide and play for as many corners as possible.
Our corners have been pretty on point since getting Blind on them.
Pretty sure Wolfsburg were unbeaten in 27 competitive home matches before losing on Saturday. Not exactly expecting us too win this one so I just want the players to have a free license and just go all out attack. I'd be pretty annoyed if we play the usual possession football in this one. Just go all out for it please.
The Inquisition will soon gather.4.45am start for me. I think I'll leave it this time.
I agree with that 11 barring Mcnair. He was terrible at right back in the last game. Those front 4 are the most likely to do damage. Not much choice given the circumstances, but I've gone with this line-up:
Predicted Starting XI
Predicted Substitutes
David de Gea
Chris Smalling
Daley Blind
Paddy McNair
Matteo Darmian
Juan Mata
Michael Carrick
Bastian Schweinsteiger
Jesse Lingard
Memphis Depay
Anthony Martial
I think I would rather start with Young and Fellaini on the bench. Young certainly brings options in both attack and defence, and If things aren't going well, substitutions are going to be key. His experience and versatility make him the ideal choice to hold in reserve given the sparsity of our squad at the moment. Same sort of thinking with Fellaini regarding midfield and attack really. This match is vital; out of the few players we seem to have available, these two would probably have the most impact as substitutions, once you pencil in the starting certs such as De Gea, Smalling, Schweinsteiger, Martial etc...
The youth teams play at 16 CET. The table is similarly tight as for the men but worse from a United perspective. A win would bring you in 2nd spot, otherwise your lads are dusted.
1 CSKA 8 (5)
2 Wolfsburg 7 (1)
3 PSV 7 (0)
4 United 5 (-6)
They will sit back and look to hit us on break. Easy game for them in that sense as they don't need to push for a win. We will struggle against a deep and well organised team. I bet we have about 70% possession tonight and 0-0.
Wolfsburg is strong with set-pieces themselves with Dost, Dante, Naldo.
I remember the match before that streak started. Bayern won 6:1 after being down 0:1.
If you want to have a blueprint how to score 5 goals in Wolfsburg in 16 minutes...
Or to score atleast 3
Wolfsburg will look at how poor we play against sides that sit back and do exactly that. To come and have a go at United tonight would be daft when they are in the driving seat. If they get to HT without conceding (not a big ask against this United side), then they are home and dry as United will leave gaps in search of a winner.I'm not sure. That just isn't Wolfsburg's natural game. They tend to pretty much play every match with the same attitude, to try to win.
I think it may be pretty open tbh.
To be fair, the way Bayern are playing there isn't tooooo different to how we do. The difference is the number of players in the box when they attack compared to us. We need to use just one holding midfielder or at least give one of them license to go forward and also make sure we have the forwards/wide players all getting into the box.
