Just can't see that squad getting a win, away from home.

Logically I do agree with you.
But I also know that when LVG needs a win - he gets it.
It's almost as if we can dominate and win any game we please, but LVG sometimes just doesn't feel like winning...so decides to play safe, for a 0-0 draw.
This is definitely a winnable game.

We will win this. We have to, and under pressure our players seem to try that little bit harder to make us win.

We only got ourselves to blame. Somehow we only managed to get 1 point against PSV despite being the better team. I would rate our chances to progress to 30%.

Can't see us winning this at all. Hopefully Memphis pops up with a wonder goal or Lingard remembers to put his boots on the right feet because I can't see anyone else popping up with a goal.

I think the players might benefit from playing away from home. The fans are putting huge pressure on the team in home matches.

This is actually the first time that I will be surprised if United manages to win. We've been in CL games against objectively better teams where you can say that more often than not they will defeat us, but I still had this belief that it will be our night and somebody will produce a moment of brilliance and we'll make it through. After the display against PSV though, I simply cannot see any chance of this happening. Extremely depressing...

I always go in to a match believe we will win yet I still somehow couldn't resist going for 0-0 in the score prediction.

Hopefully we will do the job. The players just need to learn how to bury a chance.

squeeze through by the skin of our teeth, get Barcelona or Real in the next round, and everyone's happy.

Squad is really poor don't see how we can't buy a defender and a forward in January. I can't see us winning, will need cska to do us a favour to go through.

We don't need CSKA to win do we? Just hold PSV to a draw?

I think we'll draw in Germany, so if the other game is a draw as well we'd sneak through wouldn't we?

I feel quite confident but I've got absolutely no idea why. Think we'll win 2-0.

Get the ball wide and play for as many corners as possible.

Our corners have been pretty on point since getting Blind on them.

Wolfsburg is strong with set-pieces themselves with Dost, Dante, Naldo.

Pretty sure Wolfsburg were unbeaten in 27 competitive home matches before losing on Saturday. Not exactly expecting us too win this one so I just want the players to have a free license and just go all out attack. I'd be pretty annoyed if we play the usual possession football in this one. Just go all out for it please.

I remember the match before that streak started. Bayern won 6:1 after being down 0:1.

If you want to have a blueprint how to score 5 goals in Wolfsburg in 16 minutes...

    Or to score atleast 3

Not much choice given the circumstances, but I've gone with this line-up:

    Predicted Starting XI
    Predicted Substitutes
I think I would rather start with Young and Fellaini on the bench. Young certainly brings options in both attack and defence, and If things aren't going well, substitutions are going to be key. His experience and versatility make him the ideal choice to hold in reserve given the sparsity of our squad at the moment. Same sort of thinking with Fellaini regarding midfield and attack really. This match is vital; out of the few players we seem to have available, these two would probably have the most impact as substitutions, once you pencil in the starting certs such as De Gea, Smalling, Schweinsteiger, Martial etc...

The youth teams play at 16 CET. The table is similarly tight as for the men but worse from a United perspective. A win would bring you in 2nd spot, otherwise your lads are dusted.
    1 CSKA 8 (5)
    2 Wolfsburg 7 (1)
    3 PSV 7 (0)
    4 United 5 (-6)

I thought he was old and rubbish and has been poor this season?

Anyway, we need something special from our future stars for this one - Martial and Memphis, particularly the former of course. It's a bit unfair to rely so much on the younger lot but they're the ones I can see winning this one for us.

I agree with that 11 barring Mcnair. He was terrible at right back in the last game. Those front 4 are the most likely to do damage.

They will sit back and look to hit us on break. Easy game for them in that sense as they don't need to push for a win. We will struggle against a deep and well organised team. I bet we have about 70% possession tonight and 0-0.

I'm not sure. That just isn't Wolfsburg's natural game. They tend to pretty much play every match with the same attitude, to try to win.

I think it may be pretty open tbh.

To be fair, the way Bayern are playing there isn't tooooo different to how we do. The difference is the number of players in the box when they attack compared to us. We need to use just one holding midfielder or at least give one of them license to go forward and also make sure we have the forwards/wide players all getting into the box.

Wolfsburg will look at how poor we play against sides that sit back and do exactly that. To come and have a go at United tonight would be daft when they are in the driving seat. If they get to HT without conceding (not a big ask against this United side), then they are home and dry as United will leave gaps in search of a winner.

I just hope we go for it, another 0-0 here would be fecking shocking giving the circumstances we need to take a few risks tonight.

I'm wondering if this is what we will see tonight. Schweinsteiger the lone holding player. Carrick to replace him on 50/60 minutes

LvG has a tendency of getting big wins when the odds are stacked against him, hopefully this one will be another one

We dont look like we will concede a goal the way we playing at the back so i can see us losing this one. Question is will we have enough composure in the box to score at least 2 goals.

Our problem as a team is that we have too many new players in the team who are still getting used to each other. About 8 players( DDG,Chris, Jones, Tony V, Young Carras Mata & Wazza) out 24 have been in the team for more that 2 years and the rest have been in first team for less than 18months.

Even then, those 8 players are also still adjusting to LvG style. But we should be good enough to win tonight despite the injuries. Morgan will be a huge miss

If we draw 0-0 the Caf won't be able to take it. It'll be pointless even trying to post. The site will be down for ages with the number of people trying to get on to go crazy.
