So is the local drunk injured or actually suspended?
My assumption being we will score first and they will then throw the kitchen sink at us, hence possession may be in their favor. Why should they risk going down to Europa League? They are what we call a plastic club but I wouldn't underestimate them. Wolfsburg will want to make it into the KO stage and therefore focus first on not losing against you lot. Out of 9 possible outcomes, there's only one in which they play Europa, and that is losing to you and PSV winning.
Your last assumption cracked me up. Wolfsburg lots of possession against a LvG United? Not in this world. It doesn't fit LvG's philosopy.
If it's 0-0 at 89mins then we should just field an ineligible player so that we get banned from European competition.
Our best hope of going through is for PSV to lose. It will be a miracle if that squad avoids defeat.
Loving the optimism in here. Almost like most of you haven't been watching us the last month. All season in fact. We are in the Europa league lads. We had a game at home to essentially secure our place in the second round and we couldn't do it. We stuttered past CSKA clearly the worst team in this group and our performance against Wolfsburg at home we were hanging on for dear life.

Wolfsburg looked completely out of their depth until the 0:1 and Gündogan's injury - iirc Dortmund hit the woodwork twice within the first 5 minutes, people should relax a bit about the match. Wolfsburg are a decent, well organized team, but they aren't unbeatable.

Ah, well. We're fecked.Wolfsburg looked completely out of their depth until the 0:1 and Gündogan's injury - iirc Dortmund hit the woodwork twice within the first 5 minutes, people should relax a bit about the match. Wolfsburg are a decent, well organized team, but they aren't unbeatable.
Only in the league. They lost in the cup at home against Bayern 5 weeks ago and last season in the Europa League at home against Everton and Napoli. They're far from invincible at home.Pretty sure Wolfsburg were unbeaten in 27 competitive home matches before losing on Saturday. Not exactly expecting us too win this one so I just want the players to have a free license and just go all out attack. I'd be pretty annoyed if we play the usual possession football in this one. Just go all out for it please.
Look at that squad. Only two are pure attackers,Memphis and Martial. Business has to be done in January, no ifs or buts.
All i want is Mata to start in that #10 role.
Watched that one now that we get German games Stateside. It did not encourage me regarding our chances.Wolfsburg lost to a last-minute matchwinner today at home. Expect a better performance from them, I can't see them losing 2 home games in a row especially against a toothless Man Utd.
biggest game of our season, but i'm saving room for disapointment.
But we can win, but that will need us to really go for it. I hope they can at least do that.
