Oh it gets even better, a fictional footballer that you can't name would be better.Nah not “this place” - he’s too unpredictable on the ball and it leaves huge gaping holes everywhere cause he gives it away in stupid scenarios leaving the rest of the team on the back foot.
We’d be much better with a player that can have a bit of awareness rather than his gung ho crazy approach.
He's non-stop criticising one of the two teams, when the other team has conceded even more clear-cut chances. There are clear issues with the fromation but we also have 10 players out! The last time we had zirkzee trying to cover the right he had to be subbed at the 30th min. We are obviously compensating for this.
I hardly think we've been worse than them, yet gary uses words like embarrassing to describe us and waxes lyricals when its anything to do spurs (especially maddison!)
Ok? So we were really good last week were we, this game is a one off?
Really?!!?!Thought he was playing well myself....
Taking it!Sky bet are offering a special on Garnacho having 3 shots off target![]()
That... was poor.
Maguire has played some nice vertical attacking passes.
Zirkzee is good at little ball tricks to keep possession, but then usually loses it when he tries to pass it. He can't jump but this half was a worrying reminder that he can't run either. Can't or won't.
Garnacho... unbelievable miss.
Højlund good shot then nothing.
Onana could help his defense out a lot of he would catch the ball every so often. I've seen other keepers do this, I know it's not illegal.
Bruno should try some more no-look low percentage chance Hollywood passes. When we give the ball to Spurs it gives our players a nice rest. Great job.
Onana at the back unsettles the defense, Højlund at the tip of the spear is a wet noodle. In the center we are getting run circles round.
Ref has been good aside from 1 minute stoppage for a goal, a yellow, and two injuries, plus the normal time wasting.
Half time subs, why the feck not.
As a keeper you don't push it back into trouble. No keeper is holding that shot. As a keeper, you hope your defenders react rather than ball watch.....
Cheers - didn't know Moorhouse was a more attacking option.
So who are you playing in there instead?
He's wrong. Looks worse cause neither midfielder is mobile enough to take up other positions when we haven't got the ball.Terrible first half, Garnacho blazing over with a glorious chance.
G Nev is pretty scathing on SKY but he ain't wrong, is he?
Everyone, including GN criticising the midfield line up.
It is shockingly bad, but what’s the alternative?
There aren’t any other players available.
We literally have no senior player’s or youngsters with any first team experience, available.

This. 3 man midfield is the pre-cursor of the last decade of football.Unless you have the best players, 3 Midfielders are the only way to play in England. Ten Hag tried this 2 no. 10 nonsense and got destroyed almost every week. Amorim doing the same thing.
Is he being asked to play that way? I’d bet good money those aren’t his specific instructions and he’s adapting/reacting to how the game is playing out and how Spurs are shaping up and overloading.
Would you give your left nut away for free to have Fred in the starting 11?Honestly, I would sell my left nut for a fiver to have Fred in the starting 11
I agree with this generally but I think his first approach was getting a strong hand to itAs a keeper you don't push it back into trouble.
Honestly, the mental gymnastics some go through to absolve him of blame is wild
Oh it gets even better, a fictional footballer that you can't name would be better.
He’s been an option several times but the players are seemingly ignoring him or can’t see it. So infuriating.Dorgu providing an overload 90% of the time and players like Garnacho just turn inside and don't return the ball.
Why play a wingback if you don't use the option?
I'm out.Back four of Dalot, de Ligt, Maguire and Dorgu. Midfield of, Case, Maz and Bruno with Garnacho LW, Zirkzee CF and Hojlund RW.
Plenty of defensive cover in the middle, lots of pace out wide and a player who does his best work playing a false 9 holding the ball and playing others in. Simples.
Doesn't mean we'll win but it's multiples better than what we're seeing now.
Onana 5, De Ligt 6, Harry 5.5, Mazraoui 6, Dorgu 6.5, Dalot 6, Casemiro 5, Bruno 4.5, Garnacho 3, Rasmus 6, Zirkzee 7.5
Garnacho and Bruno cannot see the runs of Dorgu. He is running down for overlap all the time and hasn´t got a single pass. Zirkzee has been good. Dorgu, Maz, De Ligt and Højlund are doing ok
As a keeper you don't push it back into trouble.

Spurs on the ball are a top 4 team, highlighted by the goals scored tally. With the ball Spurs are miles ahead of us. They actually look like they know what they're doing and know how to hurt a team. While our players are hesitant and look like they're trying to work out a gameplan while they're on the pitch
Garnacho should have scored though. And obviously results wise Spurs are no better than us. But I think its because of their defending - with the ball they're pretty good at least compared to us
He has a bad habit of not pushing it wide enough though. Could have done better there. No keeper is holding that shot. As a keeper, you hope your defenders react rather than ball watch.....
I think that's a fair comment. we've not been good but could actually be in frontTwo individual moments, Onana and Garnacho, dictate how we feel about the game.
We've actually been OK considering the injuries and lack of legs in midfield.
Sell Bruno, sign hypothetical man.Fictional? You saying players don’t exist which can hold their position and their heads? I wasn’t aware I had to reel a list of for you.
I think you two completely misunderstood my post. I have no problem with Bruno playing as a centre midfielder. The problem I have is the way he is being asked to play which is what I said in my initial post.
I'd be interested to know why Amorim has opted for Bruno being thebperson pressing the left back, as opposed to sitting in the pivot with Casemiro.
