    Agree with all of that but it doesn't excuse having a stupid setup.

    Spurs are exactly the same. Hide behind the board, injuries etc but the manager just plays really dumb football.

    I am inclined to agree with this. At least Garnacho gets himself in the position to miss big chances, which is more than I can say for the rest of our squad.

    Mix of bad players and inexperience with the system, I would say. Also, we've not had a good midfield for ages to really bind the play together. The reason we are so disjointed starts there.

    He's non-stop criticising one of the two teams, when the other team has conceded even more clear-cut chances. There are clear issues with the fromation but we also have 10 players out! The last time we had zirkzee trying to cover the right he had to be subbed at the 30th min. We are obviously compensating for this.

    I hardly think we've been worse than them, yet gary uses words like embarrassing to describe us and waxes lyricals when its anything to do spurs (especially maddison!)

    Yeah not seen Hojlund win any duel yet, I’m having a hard time holding out hope for him. He’s just getting worse and worse.

    De Ligt and Dorgu have been good. Zirkzee has done well to hold up the ball at times.

    I don't know what formation we're playing. Amorim needs to right the midfield at HT. Spurs are a shambles at the back and if we had any ounce of street smart and organisation out there we'd get a result here.

    As it is, it looks like a random collection of players playing a system they don't know, trying to fill spaces they aren't sure about, and no passing angles whatsoever. So frustrating.

    I've always felt the most basic and reliable method to creating chances in football is to work a narrow wide position and have someone overlap, and they either play it across the face of goal or cut it back.

    We don't seem to have discovered that.
     
    Said it before but so many of our games are practically golden goal and we have a keeper that turns half chances into tap ins and an attack that can’t finish.

    Spurs created nothing and we’re somehow losing
     
    crying out for 4-4-2... i know amorim won't change but with the players we've got fit he either has to or forget being our manager. so far, I'm as unimpressed by him as I am by the players and the brexiter clown in charge

    Been good when on the ball, touch has been sweet, played his way out of tight areas a few times. Not seeing enough of him and Hojlund has been quiet after a decent start.

    Utd have done pretty well defensively to restrict Spurs to fewer shots despite them having far more of the ball.

    Bruno wakes up and Garnacho/Hojlund are going to get another 1 v 1, Spurs are leaving ridiculous space.

    This is our standard now. Average performances get applauded. I am not blaming you, you said they did “ok”, but this is reality, we notice and appreciate “ok”…

    Im not sure you realise the absolute financial mess the clubs in. Im surprised we even signed Dorgu and Heaven in the winter window.
    We have to sell too buy but all we do is loan.
     
    At the game. We’re so slow and laboured in our play. It’s really frustrating. Dorgu looks good but is sitting too deep. Garnacho missing those two chances as well. One of which went over the bar. Terrible. We need to change something in the 2nd half. Take Casemiro off because he will get sent off and take Hojlund off for Chido Obi.

    Of course he does. People didn't get the memo. They forgot to check his FB Ref stats.

    Garnacho does not do forward passes. It's that damn clear. Just straight up refuses to even look for it. I don't care how many mazy-ass runs he goes on; if you can't get your general passing game going you ain't having a long-term future at a club that wants to win something other than domestic cups.

    Yea. It must be disheartening when you constantly make the effort to support the attack and get ignored. Not sure why the passes don’t come. Are our players that bad they can’t see it ?

    I've no issue with his team selection or even that we're losing. The formation is the issue. Anybody defending the tactical shape today needs to wake up and see what's infront of them.

    Think it's time to call a spade a spade and say that ETH just built a team full of shite.

    No manager is doing anything with this team. Needs 7-8 starts in minimum to even be looking at top 4.
     
    If Zirkzee gets used to the pace of the PL, potentially a very very good player there. But more suited to a 10 role it appears, his lack of pace doesn’t suit him to be the man leading the line.

    I really am looking forward to when/if the system clicks, because I really like the idea of it.
     
    Neville shouldn't be allowed to commentate on our games, he's interminable.

    Yes, were stretched in midfield, we have 11 fit senior outfield players and ony one CM, who happens to have the mobility of a rusting Soviet combine harvester.

    We have had the best chance of the game by far - if you're not finishing chances like that then rest is redundant

    Garnacho just a very poor finisher. At least he get to chances.

    Zirkzee is very talented. Can see him become one of our best.

    Bruno is incredibly frustrating at times, but he's head and shoulders above Pogba in a red shirt.

    Is he being asked to play that way? I’d bet good money those aren’t his specific instructions and he’s adapting/reacting to how the game is playing out and how Spurs are shaping up and overloading.

    Maz is supposed to step into midfield. We've been stood in a 4231 out of possession many times today with Bruno pushed out wide to press

    Probably our best midified pairing in the last 8 seasons.

    Our ability to let a mediocre player go and become worse after spending shit load of money is unprecedented in professional team sports.
