Every game I have hope we can do basic footballing things, every week we just look garbage, Maguire/De ligt/Dorgu/Zirkzee the only ones who can have some remote praise for being alright.

Garnacho should score, but that’s the state of our team right now.

Fair enough, it's your opinion but I have to respectfully disagree.

The amount of utterly despondent performances Pogba churned out was horrible. If he had a fraction of Bruno's mentality and work rate he could have been something here.

Pogba brings none of what we need in midfield beyond the odd flair moment. Control, discipline, positioning, game management.. need I go on? None of which Pogba has.

It looks to me like he’s hesitant especially coming for crosses. While pushing the ball away might work in the Seria A or the Erdevise, it certainly isn’t advisable in EPL.

Just by pure use, even the worst team on Earth can manage to pull out a performance once in a while! It feels like i can watch Utd for several yrs and still see the same awfulness. We are just a laughing stock now really 'playing' a brand of football that was obsolete decades ago.

Bruno's position in this game works I think when we're pushing for the win and we've got more attacking players ahead of us. E.g. we're 1-0 down, it's the last 20 minutes of a game and we throw another attacker or so on. I don't think it works as the obvious starting position for him. He's too rash with the ball and gives it away too much. I think that works better if there's more urgency in front of him and more of a general push from the team to get forward, as that gives more passing options. But, trying to play 90 minutes this way isn't going to work.

The cm pairing we need have to be tidier on the ball, much better at keeping hold of it, and cover a lot of ground together. We still haven't got that ideal partnership anywhere in this club. It's even harder without Ugarte.

He may well be but he's right about Bruno and Casemiro. If Bruno is pulling to the right when we dont have the ball like he is and there's 25 yards between him and Casemiro, the only player in CM in that situation, then Spurs can just play the ball forward past midfield at will.

Plenty of defensive cover in the middle, lots of pace out wide and a player who does his best work playing a false 9 holding the ball and playing others in. Simples.

Doesn't mean we'll win but it's multiples better than what we're seeing now.

We're moving into this shape at times out of possession but with Hojlund up top, Zirkzee behind him and Bruno out wide. Maz just seems hesitant to move out of the back line.

Having said that, Bayindir being a significantly taller keeper may have been able to parry the ball away comfortably (but then again he did the exact same thing against Spurs in the Carabao Cup!)

A keepers job isn't done as soon as he saves a shot... Especially not a fairly tame and pretty central one.
