That was an enjoyable half of football from us. Some really nice football. Unlucky with their goal and a bit toothless up front but no complaints otherwise. Amorim is building something here.

Watching Utd I always feel we need to score min of 2 goals to get a point/draw as our players gift at least 1 goal per game due to catastrophic mistakes (there's been 6 in the last 5 games!) So when you have a forward line like ours, it's not going to get you many wins.

We are not playing bad, but we can be so vulnerable when we defend, and I believe that will change when Amorim gets his own players in the squad.
GK error and we are losing, it could be better, and it could be worse, and it has been way worse for a few years.

    Yoro has been great

he looks confident on the ball and that is very important, yet he should have not allow to be onside Solanke in the rebound of the goal, instead of taking a step forward, he took a step backward

We've played fairly well but Antony is holding us back. Dalot has been serviceable, getting into good positions, but a proper left-sided player would have done better with some of his crossing chances.

All in all, I'm pleased with how the fairly weak team we've put out is playing, and even though I want to win, losing this game isn't the end of the world since Amorim is crying out for less games and more training time (hence why Evans was brought on and not Maguire).

A bit unlucky to be behind in this game. We’ve largely played quite well, there’s a clear game plan and we’ve had enough of the ball and got into dangerous positions on plenty of occasions. Spurs have a little more cutting edge than us so far when they do gets their chance.

It's similar to the half against City where it was frustrating to concede a goal with a little bad luck involved. But unlike that game, we've done decently in attack. If Eriksen could shoot anywhere but the middle of the goal we'd be at least level.

We cannot overcome our physical disadvantages, but at least tactically we're not outmatched. It's refreshing to see that there is a plan and the players are trying to execute it, even if it isn't getting there completely.

Pleased with the performance! This system with better players will deliver. Creating great overloads that end up with the other wing free with a player.

Really encouraging. Hope we bring on some attacking big guns and just say screw it and go for it. It’s a cup game why the hell not.

And there we learn why Bayindir has never managed to challenge Onana

Do other teams concede ridiculous goals as often as we do? I don't watch much football besides United these days. However, I struggle to believe that other teams defend as brainlessly. Nobody charged out, nobody dropped, we just let them shoot and then get the rebound. 1-0 down as a result of idiocy. Again.

I think it's just a keeper error. Nobody would be able to get back and defend that in that time, it just should have been pushed wide

Tbf Dalot hasn’t been too bad, Bruno needs to start producing better chances from his final ball.
Bruno been shocking, his biggest asset (amazing final ball) has been a let down. If he ain’t doing that then he’s pointless.

Hard to contribute from the bench mate
I am talking about generally. Clearly the manager doesn’t trust him to play a game like this especially after his terrible performance last week. He’s not good enough.

We look solid, goalkeeping error aside, but toothless up front. Dalot has been poor again, but in a way that really highlights how important that position is. Put some quality in that position and those tentative pass backs become a series dangerous crosses into the box. He's been in great positions and done little with it. Antony has looked completely at sea, and Bruno has had few runs to find.

Still, we've pressed them well and we've been comfortable on the ball in midfield. From open play they've not carved out many good chances. I think we need subs before we see much change in the performance, but there's something to build on.

The system is good and we're playing okay, Spurs just largely have better players than us sadly. Eriksen, Ugarte and Yoro have been superb. Dalot and Antony horrendous.
Antony hasn't been horrendous at all. He's not been especially good, but he's certainly not been horrendous, been seeing and finding Bruno in space with some good switches.

Eriksen was good except for the shooting.
    Antony is abysimal. Useless player.
Dalot is doing nice cutbacks and seems to get better in his role.
Not a bad half. Spurs had some good chances. We did too.
We are going somewhere. We look better and better in Amorim nos système. We are going somewhere and I truly believe we will get very good under Amorim. That’s just the start ! Exciting time to be an United fan !

Dalot has been alright, if Ericksen could finish and Bruno would stop playing stupid passes with the outside of his boot we might get somewhere.

Controlling the game, sounds great to be able to say that,Eriksen should have scored at least 1 of those cutbacks..
Antony will be the next sub based on that 1st half performance, pretty woeful.

Defence has been poor. Ugarte and Eriksen did well. Antony and Hojlund not offered anything so far

Bruno been shocking, his biggest asset (amazing final ball) has been a let down. If he ain’t doing that then he’s pointless.
Indeed. His regular use of outside of his right foot to either pass or shoot has been annoying to say the least. It hardly ever comes off and I don’t understand why he keeps doing it.

I think we're playing quite well. Results haven't been ideal in the past month, but we definitely look a better team

Playing alright again, just the final third letting us down. Dalot just isn’t a left wing back and always in space.

    Ugarte is a beast.

What do you mean done little? 3 Dalot's cutbacks found its target.

Poor Amad is carrying our attack on his shoulders already.
Höjlund has talent but his awareness and anticipation is not good, he does not have timing.
Antony looks absolutely lost in that central role. Ruben himself could probably play there and we wouldn`t lose much.
Bruno has quality but his last pass is not really there so far today.
