Every time I think we'll loose comfortably we somehow win or rarely we win nicely.

Spurs are favourites for this one but they won't have 10 players behind ball and will attack and be open so we'll have chances. Our defense will have to be good cause they're dangerous in the attack.

Don't know what to expect. Spurs are now under pressure but so are we. We should probably play like vs City. Defend in numbers, let them dictate and have the ball and hit them on the counter with as few touches as possible. Scrap a 1:0 win. :)

Spurs are a quality outfit ....in all key areas....Utd?...afraid not.....2-1 to Spurs...

We've acquitted ourselves well against quality opposition in the league this season.

On paper Spurs should do us in but we seem to have found ways to win, ugly or pretty. Keeping Kane under control is what's it all about if we want to steal another 3 points and I actually think we can do it. Defend properly on set pieces and we'll smuggle out the unlikely win.

Lets hope that Arsenal and Leicester both win before Spurs play us, hopefully it will lead to them cracking under the pressure and let us sneak the win.

I would say the opposite, they're more likely to crack if they have a chance to gain points on Leicester.

Schweinsteiger, Rooney, Shaw and W Keane. Young and Jones just returned from injury so one or both of them could make an appearance on the bench.

Jones looked shattered so I doubt he'll feature but Young was good and full of running so I could see him making the bench.

Ideally we want Arsenal and Manchester City to lose, and for us to beat Spurs. Arsenal will be easier to catch than Spurs.

    Every year this happens. :lol::lol:

Arsenal will not finish below Spurs.

Good luck this weekend anyway! Hope yous thrash them and put the pressure on them. Spurs should only be looking one direction going into this weekend - and it isn't forward.

EDIT: Ugh. Just noticed Spurs superfan Mike Dean is reffing this one.

honestly I agree. Arsenal just font finish lower than 4th and will most likely end up finishing above spurs in the end.

A Carrick-Schneiderlin axis is asking to be mauled by their midfield. I'd bring in Herrera for one or drop a forward. The game should be open enough for us to use the speed of Martial, Lingard, and Rashford to get in behind. If we set up properly, we can at least avoid a loss.

Funny how it's the worst teams left that are more worrying

    -----------De Gea----------------
    Valencia--Smalling--Blind--Darmian
    ------Herrera--- Morgan-----------
    Lingard----Mata----Martial
    ---------- Rashford -------

I would fecking love to balls up Spuds one and only chance at the league this season and help Leicester lift it! I'm going to go 2-1 united.

We normally turn up against the better teams, don't expect us to lose.

On the flip side we usually crash and burn just as we're starting to build some momentum.

Every time I look at the table and think "if X, Y and Z happen we'll be comfortable", we then go out and lose. Yesterday I thought to myself "if we beat Spurs and win the game in hand against Crystal Palace we'll be 3 points behind Spurs with them still having to go to Stoke/Chelsea (as well as potentially tricky games against Newcastle and So'ton).

    No Saturday, 3PM kick offs?
Do we only play games on Sunday or at odd times?

This will probably be another tight game. Our last seven League Game results have either been a draw, or a one-goal swing either way. We've only put three Premier League wins on the bounce together once this season and that was in September. Simply have to do it again now if we want to keep the dream alive, but every time we've shown a glimmer of hope this season it has been quickly diminished.

If West Ham drop points against Arsenal and we win here, then I think it's out of us and City (who should win against West Brom at home, but it is after their Champions League game with PSG).

As for the line-up, it's hard to change a winning team that kept out Aguero and Lukaku rather easily - hopefully Smalling and Blind can do the same to Kane. However, I would be tempted to bring Valencia back in for either Rojo or Darmian, while also starting Herrera over Carrick or Mata. Other than that, I'd pick the same side. I just hope LvG doesn't go with Fellaini, but if he does, use him in the no.10 role of a midfield three.

Would take any win here and hope Leicester don't lose :)

My hopeful results for the weekend:

    Man Utd Win vs. Spurs
    Arsenal Draw vs. West Ham
    Leicester Win/Draw vs. Sunderland
Man City Draw vs. West Brom

Fully expect City to win, but the rest isn't out of this world.

    Indeed.
This is because LVG makes us play this way. His dream score line is 1-0.
As a result we are the most boring team to watch, in the country.

Assuming we can field something close to our strongest XI then I fancy Spurs to win this convincingly. There's no question that the players will be up for the game, because the title chase will still be on.

True but all of our poor results normally come against bottom half of the table. The only time we've been battered by one of the top teams this season was against the Arse away. We will be ok i think.

    "Lads, its spurs"
    "They will arsenal it"

or may be they will tonk us and van gaal will be closer to his exit. Either way, the club will be the main winner.

Don't usually fare too well against teams who play high tempo pressing game. Well at least we didn't when we played the possession game hoping for a more sit deep and counter strategy.

It could go either way... Leicester could be 10 points clear by that point with Arsenal 1 point behind you; in that situation there's a good chance nerves could set in.
