Bad performance after the promising opening 15 minutes or so. We were winning the midfield battle, but then Schneiderlin started losing challenges and Carrick showed why he's past it.

We have other problems as well. Lingard is useful most of the time, but he disappears way to often to justify his starting position.

TFM is literally everywhere, so I don't get why Mata is playing on the right wing. If these are the instructions for TFM, then Mata was always going to have to play as a right back. Van Gaal basically isolated Mata against Rose, who's fast enough to cause him problems.

TFM has been great, though. Tremendous talent. He made a positional mistake for the Lamela chance, but redeemed himself by preventing at least two clear goals.

Rojo has been shit.

As for the game - I can't see us winning it. A draw would be a decent result considering City's next fixtures, but we should be doing more in attack to at least show some incentive to win.

We aren't bad but certainly don't look all that good. Mata, Lingard and Rojo are not good enough. TFM is our best young prospect along with Martial. Rashford has been brilliant for us but he has a long way to go before being a top striker.

Guys, our plan is always to score 1 goal per game and at present everything is going to plan.
As long as we reach half time with 0-0, LVG will be happy.
In the 2nd half we will try and "nick" a goal and we shall look to Martial to do this.

The above is the very reason why I want LVG gone. I am tired of boring football, where the only way we can win is 1-0.

If he was in the centre he'd have more chance of doing that I'd have thought.

Jose has at least generally had a reputation for winning consistently, barring his Chelsea spell. And, again, in our treble winning season we actually won stuff. That's not the case this season.

We completely lack any physical strength in the final third barring Martial, it's not a surprise we can't build a single attack if Spurs are even remotely in position.

Lingard is really not good enough, and the rest of our attackers are too young and inexperienced. Rojo is average at best, Mata is a luxury player and Carrick is past it. Schneiderlin has been an utter disappointment.
