If anyone comes to the thread late and asks why the game was delayed, let's say because Kane proposed to his girlfriend on the pitch.

I would have thought we would aim to arrive 2 hours before the kickoff. Even an hours delay would not be a big problem.

The team have only just arrived at 5 to 4. Time to change and warm up, a 4.30 start is cutting it a bit fine.
We were 8 miles away. Yes we would have aimed to arrive 90 mins at most before kick off. Whatever accident it was must have been horrendous. Nothing we could have done and that Matt Law wanting us to have points docked is ridiculous. Not like we did this deliberately by causing a traffic accident then holding shit up. If anything this benefits Spurs more than us.

The late arrival has given Van Gormless a ready made excuse if we lose.

It's a process, just be patient, we will get to the stadium. I have always told you it is a process

That Spurs lineup has plenty of pace, engine and teamwork. If we dont wake up from the beginning, this can get ugly.

We have pace too, Martial and Rashford will relish the space they'll get today.

It's worrying that we may be "sleepy" in the first 20 minutes, due to our late/rushed arrival.
    This could work against us.

We are going to be awful. I remember we were late to a game once before and never got going.

Let's hope they are itching to get going.

At least we won't have time to show Spurs exactly how we are going to set up during our usual warm ups.

Wasn't expecting anything anyway to be honest. This delay doesn't fill me with any more confidence.

Kind of thing Clough would do. Stop off for a pint on the way, get there late, then win a major European trophy.

I thought this was a caf joke. It's actually true, we're fecking dithering to go to the stadium on time now. Sure we'll get Jose before the start of 2020/21 season at this rate.

How were all the Spurs players and staff able to get to the ground on time anyway? It's not like they live there themselves.

Looks like Mr Louis van Gaal already got the excuses ready

LvG just threw a bus driver under the bus, people gonna love it.

    prepare for injuries galore today.

What's your favourite Brent dialogue from the office, anyone?

I do not understand why we haven't travelled the night before and it not, why we are getting a coach down?

De Gea and Smalling to take each other out with a clash of heads, and Martial to pull his hamstring running over to check on them.

The way this season has gone, the above doesn't even sound unreasonable.
Less time warming up, it is inevitable.

If the Glazers weren't cheapasses, they would have bought two helicopters and the game would not have been delayed.

I always laughed at "I thought the players showed tremendous character..." - I think it was the repetition of that line which really made it a classic Brent line.
