I'm going for a 1-2 away win. Teams just don't score more than one against us anymore and they lack class strikers with Bony's departure.

0-3 away win and we'll play awesome. Can't wait for kick off.

To be completely honest, I'm waiting for the Fifa prediction done by the lad I forgot the name of. Almost more excited about that then the actual game.

OT: 2-1 United. We'll start sluggishly, concede a stupid goal and start playing well after LvG has shown his angry eyebrows at Halftime.

    My prediction is:

    de Gea
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Blind Herrera
    Di Maria Fellaini Young
    Rooney

    @Pentame Go on mate:)

    de Gea
    Valencia - Smalling - Rojo - Shaw
di Maria - Herrera - Blind - Young
    Rooney
    van Persie

Subs: Valdes, Jones, Fellaini, Mata, Januzaj, Falcao, Wilson
Would like something like that, even though it's probably harsh on Fellaini. RvP's inclusion is probably a bit contentious as it isn't really on merit, I just wouldn't want to see us use Fellaini as a focal point right from the off against a possession-orientated side.

Think we'll register a 3-1 win and a more comfortable performance than the one against Burnley. Playing with more width should hopefully bode well for us and Swansea look like they're on the holidays so I'll feel reasonably confident despite our away record.

    My prediction is:

    de Gea
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Blind Herrera
    Di Maria Fellaini Young
    Rooney

Would love to see this but with van Persie fit can see one of Fellaini/Herrera making way for him.

My prediction. Not that I would play this, as I would have Herrera/Mata in, but LvG seems to think otherwise.

    de gea
    Valencia Jones Rojo Shaw
    Rooney Blind Di Maria
    Adnan RvP Young

    Prediction:

    DDG
    Valencia - Smalling - Rojo - Shaw
    Blind
    Rooney - Di Maria
    Mata
    RVP - Falcao
Although I'm torn between that and this (or somewhere in between):

    DDG
    Valencia - Jones - Rojo - Shaw
    Blind
    Fellaini - Rooney
    Di Maria
    RVP - Falcao

    I'd like to see.

    ------------------De Gea

    Valencia-----Smalling---Rojo------Shaw
    --------------------Blind
    -----------Herrera--------Fellaini
    ---Di Maria--------Rooney-------Young

I have a feeling we might see something like this today

    ------------------DDG
    Valencia---Jones----Rojo----Shaw
    ------------Blind---Fellaini
    ----DiMaria---------------Young
    ------------Rooney
    ----------------------RVP

Although would be typical if Rooney and Fellaini were the other way around

    Would like to see:

De Gea, Rafael, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Herrera, Di Maria, Mata, Young, Rooney

    Expect to see:

De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Fellaini, Di Maria, Rooney, RVP, Falcao

    --De Gea
    Valencia - Smalling - Rojo - Shaw
Di Maria - Herrera - Blind - Young
    --Rooney
    --Fellaini

This is what I'd go for but you know RvP will play instead of Fellaini.

We've a pretty impressive record for games not live on TV (SKY or BT), we've won 7 and drawn 1 (including six 3pm and two 7.45pm games).

I'll be quite irritated if Van Persie waltzes back into the team. Fellaini, Young and Herrera are all more deserving of the game time.

Fellaini behind the striker has tortured Swansea many of times down the years, would be worth playing him there today.

And neither are in competition with van Persie for a place. Unless you'd start Fellaini in the #9.

None of the strikers are really performing so you couldn't realy argue one deserves to start over another.

I think the point he's making is that whilst they're not in direct competition position wise, they are for the first 11. Replacing van Persie with Young swaps us from a diamond to a 4231 etc.

@ChaddyP couldn't reply to you in the Press Conference thread so I'll do it here. Sorry guys but I have been too hungover to do the usual FIFA simulation of the game. It'll be back for the next game ;)

I still think Falcoa will get the nod over RVP but will only get 60 minutes unless he plays his arse off and scores a hat trick. If Falcoa does do something by March he might stay. If he fails to make headway in March and April he will be gone. This game is crucial for him, if he plays.

    Indeed.

If he starts Falcao today you have to wonder if there is something in the deal we struck that requires he play so many games.

I hope to see this team

    DDG
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Herrera Blind Di maria
    Young Rooney Januzaj

    or

    Herrera Blind
    Young Mata Di Maria
    Rooney

But I expect RVP will start and i don't think neither him or Falcao deserves it.

I've gotten to the stage where I'm not even gonna try predict our away games. All I can say before hand is we've no excuse to drop points, we have must of our players back, good quality in the team and our opposition is by no means looked great this season.

So say that. How about if van Perise starts ahead of Fellaini, Herrera and Young but we still play 4231. Would that be OK? This is where it becomes a nonsense.

Not sure about that but LVG has never seemed vindictive after bringing a top player off. He tends to see if they bounce back and gives them a second chance. If he does it won't be easy because every side is now tight arse marking our strikers and giving them no room.

We need at least two goals to win, because we are very likely to concede a goal.

    I hope Fellaini starts!
