He has been awful, I rate Jones far ahead of him in terms of performance and overall talent.

Smalling definitely gets overrated on here. He's been good on the whole but he's had some poor to shockers as well. Jones doesn't get nearly enough protection from stick on here as Smalling does.

Absymal? He's our best CB. Was shaky against Burnley though as you rightly pointed out.

Our defenders have had a poor season. Evans and Smalling have been exceptionally poor at times but the latter seems to have got his game back whereas the former is seriously struggling. Rojo has become a stable force at the back and Blind has helped out. It's good to see McNair coming through.
