    With respect absolute rubbish, the best club cup in the world and I think the oldest.
    I hate all this tin pot cup shite.
     
    Hoping for Tuanzebe, Shaw and McTominay to start.

    I agree in as much as there's no point going out of your way to disrespect a competition such as this, but we need to keep it in perspective. It's low down the priority list and in the earlier round Jose should be looking to use it to rest players and take at look at his squad. If we get through and are getting into semis and finals, great, but for me it's about giving minutes to some and saving minutes from others rather than the particular strength or blend of the side we put out.

    Jesus Christ. I've been in denial about him but it's time to face the fact he's done with us.
     
    I'd imagine we won't see Shaw in the first team again then.

    Looks like a back 3. Good team. Martial and Rashford together too.
     
    Thank feck Jones' injury cant be too bad.

    There is some pace in that attack. Hope Mctominay and Tuanzebe have good games.

    Good to see our key players rested. Decent team and a great opportunity for Tuanzebe and McTominay. Hope they perform well. Shaw on the bench, time to give up on him?
     
    Why does Shaw travel with the squad? What is his role? Frustrating, especially when none of our left backs is better. He couldn't be much worse, could he?.

    He'll leave for peanuts and become a solid performer in premier league for the next decade.
     
    If we didn't have a squad full of fillers or players that 'can do a job' as everyone keeps saying, we wouldn't be having these debates about resting key players and dismissing cup competitions.

    I'm expecting a very decent to strong lineup tonight. I don't want to be losing two games in a row this early in the season, regardless of the competition. This is how rot sets in. We need to be looking to win every game we play.

    Am hoping the Huddersfield game serves as a bit of a wake up call. Will take a 2-1 or 3-1 tonight.
