I can't really add anything as it's all been said, how can you spend so much money over the past three seasons and have to field a team like that. I really hope Swansea aren't up for this and we can sneak a penalty or something.

Something is seriously fecked at the club, you just wouldn't pick that team injuries or not. We're getting smashed today, there's literally no pace in that squad and about as much technical ability as Accrington Stanley we can't pass or dribble for shit.

    Swansea:

Fabianski, Rangel, Hoorn, Mawson, Kingsley, Routledge, Britton, Ki, Gylfi Þór Sigurðsson, Baston, Llorente

So they have really suspect fullbacks, and we counter that by selecting no wingers.

I'm sorry call me what you want ban me but if this is where Jose is taking us then quite frankly I cannot take it. We had Martial and Rashford last season lighting up an awful team. Two players every single top team would love in their side. And Jose doesn't play them or plays them out of position. He has destroyed 2 positives about the team. He has no faith in youth nor understanding about United's history with youth. He got rid of so many young stars whilst at other teams I.e. Lukkaka and de Bryune. He is a disaster and will be one in the future for us.

To be honest though, it'd be cool if Rooney scores those two goals he needs today. The club actually needs all the goals he has left. Better now than some dead rubber against a League 2 club.

Really exciting line up. Looks like Jose is trying to bring back the Ferguson era with Young, Carrick and Jones back in. Pretty damming indictment of our transfer policy since then I suppose.

Wonder if Giggs is available? He's not got much on at the moment.

No one can convince me that José has the intention to win today! Shocking!!!

Won't be long now at this rate....I'll get me coat

Just announced on MUTV that Blind and Shaw aren't fit to play.....

    De Gea
    Darmian Jones Rojo Young
    Carrick
    Fellaini--Pogba
    Mata-----------Rooney
    Ibrahimovic
    Sucks... and why no Martial?

You just know we're going to put in the performance of the season, if the Caf is having a meltdown over the line-up.

Meh. Mou is starting to get on my nerves.

The guy can't let any of our creative and risky players feck up and learn instead he punish them for any failings.

Miki once again out of the squad, Martial benched and instead he opted to play some dreadful, slow and old footballers (If we can even still call them that due to their obvious lack of actual ffootballing skills).

We should try advancing forward instead of reverting to safety every time.

He's once again putting a team to contain with physicality rather than just playing footballers with actual skills.

I think it is quite obvious.

Shit has not gone to plan thus far as you very well know.

Mourinho decides to feck off all flair and skill and pace and put together a team that is functional and does as he commands. This is the plan until results start coming together, which he then adds back in a touch of flair (Martial)

Let's hope shit-on-a-stick football gets us some results then.

They were both garbage in Turkey. Shaw literally got turned into Bambi on ice.

As I said, nobody is on form. Not surprised he's changing it.
Hard to demand more from Mkhitaryan when he got in.

Carrick is back, which is nice. But Fellaini starts, which is worrying

    Southampton winning.

Remember when we were all euphoric after making them look silly

There seems to have been some sort of curse placed on Carrington sometime in the last 5 years, which renders formally sensible football men totally incapable of identifying and selecting the 11 best available footballers in their 11 best positions and simply sending them out to play football.

Is there some rule being written into contracts demanding every selection have 2 or 3 wildcards where a winger must be played as a fullback or a striker as a midfielder or winger?

It would be a fascinating study if it wasn't so bloody frustrating.

I'm beginning to think Mkhi slept with Joses wife and daughter at the same time and forced Jose to watch, there's literally no excuse besides injury that is good enough for him not including him even on the bench.

How can we have spent near enough to half a billion these past few years and that shower of shite is the best team we can put out.

The way transfers have been handled by the club since SAF left is nothing short of a disgrace, so much money wasted on nothing players

Blind and Shaw. Neither have been great of late, but Young and Jones?

Shaw's not in the squad so I take it he's injured. Darmian over Blind is a bit baffling, especially if he's being played at left back.

After the Fener game, Jose said we were playing with two left backs at centre back. Therefore, with Jones being the only natural centre back fit, he was always going to start.

As for Young, he'd be a like for like replacement with Valencia, as he gets forward very well. With a lack of pace in the team, he could prove to be very important for us today.

Worst team I've ever seen... we'll probably win.

Against fenerbache Thursday I was well happy with the team... we were shite

    Logic lol

Seems like jose is punishing players. I think this line up has more a fergie type look to it after a defeat to coventry or exeter. Its like when gary neville and frrgie had argument on pitch and fergie dropped him saying he needed more height against bolton.
