Meh. Mou is starting to get on my nerves.

The guy can't let any of our creative and risky players feck up and learn instead he punish them for any failings.

Miki once again out of the squad, Martial benched and instead he opted to play some dreadful, slow and old footballers (If we can even still call them that due to their obvious lack of actual ffootballing skills).

We should try advancing forward instead of reverting to safety every time.

He's once again putting a team to contain with physicality rather than just playing footballers with actual skills.

    See this is bollocks.

I am all for criticising Mourinho and what have ya but lets be honest.

These guys are not dropped because they fecked up trying to be risky, they are dropped because they have been dog shit.

All this "Why Mick no play, eh jose?" Well the simple fact is, in 130 minutes of play time he has been absolute arse rakingly shite.

    Martial likewise.

I would like to see Rashford or Martial be given a shot up front ahead of Zlatan but other than that I can see the reasoning behind the team.

I'm getting flashbacks of that Bournemouth away game last season. Our defence consisted of Varela, Blind, McNair and Borthwick-Jackson

Rooney won his spot today with that rage goal in Turkey, not for his performance, surely.

That lineup made me lose all interest in watching the game. So many wrong things with that lineup. It genuinely looks like Mourinho has lost it.
Yeah, just seen it now. Looks we're going for the zero pace approach. Carrick and Jones at CB. Oh god, hope they can somehow prove us wrong.

Not confident here at all. Why on earth did i put us in my accumulator?

This is the first game of the season that I have had to use a stream for

It's not that bad going really

Seems weird to have a Sunday game that I can't watch though. I've never found a stream that works for more than a few seconds (well, not for a year or so anyway) :(

That lineup is clearly a reaction to Jose's issue about players lacking commitment. Martial, Rashford, Lingard, Blind on the bench... that says a lot.

Jones, Fellaini, Rooney and Young in the side says just as much.

    I think you're right there.

That team is pretty horrible but he's playing all the players who know how to battle and how to win.

    Mkhitaryan dropped again?
We're gonna have to grind out the win today, it'll be a really scrappy game. Think we're hoping Pogba comes up with something special.

    DDG
    Darmian Jones Rojo Young
    Carrick
    Fellaini Pogba
    Mata
    Zlatan Rooney
I think it's the most likely set up. Can't see why MC would be in central defence when Young can play LB.

Jose has his left foot/right foot combination in defence now. Remember how we used to take the piss when LVG wanted this

Except that's not true. Played 10 mins against Southampton at home and looked the best player on the field, likewise away at Hull when he got 20 minutes.

I'm just waiting for the news that Jones is injured and out again after the game, if not him going off during it.

I do get what you're saying, but I don't go looking for facts like this when the pool size for the statistics is so small. We've played two Europa League away games and then got thumped after them, sure. If it happens a few more times then I'll consider it a trend.

Sure. We shall see what happens today then.
If we lose/draw today, this will be 4 draws/losses after a EL game.

    Blame the UEFA cup

That's why we are on today

I'm lucky that a mate has a paid for website with perfect streams, so I log in under his name for days like today

    DDG
    Darmian Jones Rojo Young
    Carrick
    Fellaini Pogba
    Mata
    Zlatan Rooney

That looks a lot more sensible than Carrick in defence.

Hope Swansea don't have too much pace though!
And certainly makes you ask just where all the money has gone

At least Pogba made it through ok though,

    This lineup....
and there are still people out there, who think it's the players and not the manager :wenger:

How about we actually wait for 10 minutes of the game to be played before declaring the lineup a failure? Jose sees them for about 20 hours a week in training FFS.

10 billion quid spent over the last few windows and this is the squad we have.....I don't even know what to say it's a complete shambles.

Just got in and seen that team... Wow.

Only explanation I can think of is Jose had a bump to the head and thinks he's coaching in the NFL. Tank this season after 10 games and go for first pick in next year's draft.

Yeah, just seen it now. Looks we're going for the zero pace approach. Carrick and Jones at CB. Oh god, hope they can somehow prove us wrong.

Yeah. I mean I really want to back Mou, and it seems like we got a power struggle going on at the club, but then he goes ahead and does this. It looks he doesn't want to manage us anymore and that this is his protest. Even LvG didn't manage put on a team more mindfeck than this considering the options available.

    It s an internal sabotage.

I'm disappointed for Shaw Martial and Mkhitaryan.

3 players that can add speed and flair. But under Mou it s not the case.

    More from Mourinho
Couple more bits on team news from Mourinho.

ManUtd.com reports: Mourinho revealed to Sky Sports that Luke Shaw told him on Sunday morning that he is “not in the condition to play”.

The article also explains that Mourinho has confirmed Young will play at right back... which presumably means Darmian on the left.

What the hell does that mean?
