    I guess that midfield pretty much selected itself. LvG really didn't have any options did he? This is likely to be Cleverly's last(?) chance to impress LvG. So we might actually see him put in a good shift. Fingers crossed.
     
    To be honest I'd rather see Januzaj in central midfield over Cleverley, at least he's useful at breaking on the counter attack. :)
     
    This front trio is just :drool:! I think Mata gonna have a great game, and I sure do hope so, so he can prove his critics wrong.

    Great to see Welbeck on the bench.

    Of course he did...
    Tricky having players like him. Fit and on form he has huge potential and is an excellent right back. Problem is he's injured so often and if we buy someone else we basically give up on him.
     
    That midfield and defence really doesn't fill you with confidence, however front trio should get us through hopefully.
     
    Lot of pace in that team..

    I can already feel that Cleverley will make me frustrated.
     
    Cleverley's best league game of the season was against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light so hoping for another of those performances.

    RvP's ability to hold the ball up will be invaluable.

    Midfield should be fine. Fletcher is still an excellent midfielder, he just needs a week to recover between matches. Cleverley didn't put a foot wrong in preseason either.

    What exactly is it that you expect Valencia to do?
     
    Van Gaal must be glad we don't play any of the top teams for a while. This starting 11 would be destroyed by any of last years top 6.

    Di Maria with a midfield of Cleverley and Fletcher will not be effective
     
    In relation to new addition, Di Maria should come in for Valencia or young and a number 6 for cleverley in this lineup. After that, our team should be able to compete for the title without noting injuries to shaw, herrera and Carrick. This is my last chance for mata. I expect him to assist or score a goal. If he does none, I am taking him of my fantasy team.
     
    Mata, Rooney and RVP have the quality to win this game by themselves, but Cattermole, Rodwell and Larsson could realistically take the piss out of us in midfield.
