We're almost playing with 10 players with Elanga on the field. Just like last week Rashford proves he's horrible as a striker, he might be a tall lad but is weak as piss and has zero hold up play, get him on the wing asap.

Bruno continues to frustrate. Our new signings all look good as have Sancho and Dalot.

Should be 1-0 up, Eriksen really should be burying that. The plan to bypass the press by going long has worked a few times but we are too slow to capitalize on it when it does. Really missing Martial here as none of attackers can hold the ball against the Soton's physicality. We need to speed up our play significantly to get the win here. On the positive side, defense has held up quite well.

Yeah surely it's blindingly obvious this is the sort of tight game which needs us to sign in next 6 days someone with trickery and ability to beat people in wide areas, press resistant CM to find those killer passes and a CF who can finish.

The midfield is doing its usual though. They hide and don’t call for the ball. It’s our biggest issue.

You have a lot of patience. I've been of the opinion Bruno needs to go since the beginning of last season.

It's only a matter of time till ETH realises this too.

Way too sloppy in possession, for everything he gets right he gets 10 things wrong. Constantly goes for the hollywood pass even when there's no need, takes too much time on the ball in counter attacking situations, loses the ball in dangerous situations being too careless and not to mention it's hard to have a solid shape with him running off into wherever he feels like.

Scrappy, and we didn't show much control. Nowhere near as good as Monday, but not as bad as the first two games. Bruno needs some time on the bench, Elanga needs space behind to offer anything. I'd bring off Bruno, put on Casemiro and push Eriksen forward.

Bruno has become a part of the problem. You could kind of forgive how wasteful he is when he was consistently scoring and assisting, but now that’s dried up he’s just a liability.

Malacia is great. Erikson's passing is wasted deep. Sancho has been decent and the rest have been Ok.

Bruno, Rashford and Elanga are holding us back. The great thing about this system is that it's exposing all the players that aren't good enough. We need a CM, a ST and a RW.

Funnily enough Rio just said exactly what I said. Although he credited Southampton's game plan but I think the defenders are under instructions to hoof if in doubt.

Yes. But... Our other options dont offer better. Eriksen was supposed to, he was great last season, but now he comes in and struggles just as much as Bruno
