Elanga and McTominay are a joke and no amount of running vs Liverpool will cover up for their inadequacy at this level.We need an elite ball carrier next to Casemiro and for Bruno to be sold and replaced with Eriksen at 10.

Eriksen has been infinitely better than Bruno this half. Bruno is a maverick that doesn't have the consistency to back up his haphazard, mercurial approach to football. I don't know what kind of style United will end up adopting (or be forced to adopt) this season, but if it's a system that relies on keeping and progressing the ball, Bruno shouldn't be anywhere near the starting eleven.
Yes, there are elements of this, but one of the reasons Southampton can press up so high and make it hard for midfielders to take the ball is because our forwards can't hold it when it comes forward. If we had a forward who could, then Lisandro going early to the CF is an option, the Southampton press can not be as aggressive and the midfield has more time.Draws not worth a feck.It's not a bad half by us but, clearly need to get Rashford out wide as in a game like this, he isn't suited as the CF. Think with Ronaldo on, it will change the game for us. Not in that Ronaldo will light it up but, will give a chance for us to get Bruno/Eriksen into play higher up the field and Rashford will be bit more of a threat than he is now.
Also game highlights need for a attacking body option - even if it is not the top end, we need options, even just 1 injury and we are threadbare.Central midfield completely missing.
Bruno isn’t playing there, ericksen has done ok but isn’t really showing too much for the ball and mctominay hiding as usual.
Casemiro needs to come on for mctominay and elanga needs to be hooked as well.

Really? I think Eriksen has been kind of shite since we signed him.People need to stop their obsession with Garnacho. Yes, he's had a good pre-season, and he seems to be very talented, but the kid's 18 and has play a few minutes of first team football so far. What exactly do you expect him to come on and do in a game like this where we have zero control of the ball in the centre of the park, and we basically play without any hold up play/without a striker. Let him have a bit of success in the EFL/EL before expecting him to come on and change the outcome of a difficult away game in the PL.Get Casemiro, Fred and Ronaldo all on at HT. We're allowed 5 subs anyways.
Perfect against teams that give us space and useless against everyone else. Sancho worries me. He’s not the quickest and lacks the physicality at times. Elanga and Rashford are only good at countering and running into open space.

FDJ would allow us to bench Bruno with Eriksen. Those 2 changes would drastically improve our ability to control the games and spark attacks.

Bruno has been by far the most wasteful of the two (he usually is) but he's the only "legit" CAM we have. We could try Eriksen at CAM and bring Casemiro on for Bruno, but it might upset the balance somewhat since the midfield will consist of 2 DMs and a deep playmaker.- Status
