We need to work on so many things

I just can't accept that we can't pass the ball more than 3 or 4 consecutive passes

Almost every team that sits on our 6 yard box are always do it for a long period of time and our players never get some second balls

Today Soton were winning every single physical encounter against our players and we also miss passing a lot and we had a lot of turnovers.

Below par on the passing which isn’t consistent. Saints fought harder for the ball most of the time and we were slow. Rashford disappeared again and why oh why does ETH not put Garnacho for twenty minutes near the end to run them ragged and keep the full backs from going forward. Ronaldo was embarrassed a few times by the young Saints defenders being quicker. Three points is three points though.

Despite all the issues i really enjoyed seeing United end of the right side of a tough away clash.

We didn’t control the game for large chunks but I thought we were clearly the better side and deserved our win. Next up is a shambolic Leicester. Let’s go!

You can see that the performance was predictably tumescent, though. We've seen McT put in some good performances helping us beat top teams who pin us back. But we know he can't be part, at least yet, in a slick passing side.

Sounds like ETH though Casemiro needed more training before he's ready for 90 anyway, with barely any preseason.

Southampton is a very good team. We worked pretty hard but so did they.

Close game, but we edged them until the first goal, then failed to finish them on the break.

Nonsense, it was a decent game. We do need to work on many things but it was not as bad as you make it out to be.

Our counter attacking was dreadful today, though.

Although we already knew, this game further exposed our need for a striker. We were toothless in the final third.

Not much point in picking Sancho in a game where we need pace on the flanks or the opposing fullback is strong and quick.
