Good team. Glad its a 4-2-3-1 and Mourinho resisted the urge to go back to the 3 and stick Fellaini or Carrick in over Lingard.

Lad likes scoring goals at Wembley.Personally I would've gone with Blind over Rojo at left back and Rashford for Lingard but that team is more than good enough to beat this Southampton team. Their centre backs are average.Not worried about Lingard starting. Rojo at left back, however.......... Hmm. Wonder if this is Shaw 's van Nistelrooy moment.

I certainly hope you're not thinking of watching on a stream...the thought that there are people out there who would do something like google 'Reddit soccer stream' makes my blood boil TBH...An hour is too long to wait. Can't they start already ?Lingard makes sense. S'hamton play 4-3-3 so Mourinho wants to play 4-2-3-1. Lingard is our best option as the ten with Mkhi injured and Rooney coming back from injury.
They played that at Old Trafford against us but they've been playing 4-3-3 recently (at least according to whoscored).I know it wouldn't be much fun for the neutrals or ABU's....but it would be very relaxing to be 5 - 0 up at half time.....Oh great, we get to see Lingard do nothing for our attack for 70 minutes before he inevitably gets replaced by someone who'll do more than him in his limited minutes. Other than that, good team.It's a good attacking line up, the best possible attacking line up to be specific but the problem remains with Lingard at number 10, don't think he is good at all in it, hopefully Mata play as number 10 and Lingard for a RW.We desperately need a top quality LB. I like Shaw but he's fourth choice at best under Mourinho. Blind is okay but nothing special and Mourinho has shown his lack of faith in him by dropping him for the final. Rojo is a CB and really sucks at LB and Darmian is just god awful. Priority signing in the summer for me.

I think it is Mata at 10 and Lingard out wide. At least that's what I gathered from the way the lineup was ordered.

Which flank he starts on seems to depend on the opposition and he might have more joy going up against Rojo today than Valencia, the best right-back in the Premier League this season.

Can't even imagine how nervous I'd be had Liverpool made it to the final instead of Southampton.
All about having the right fit. Like on the right side, Valencia complements Mata so well. And last season the best we saw from Memphis was when he had Shaw with him. Though that might be my memory playing tricks on me!

I thought it was one of your superstitions....Marcos Rojo is a better CB than a LB for me but I am not to worried about him starting there.Reckon Southampton will start strong, and first 20minutes they'll be the better side.
But they'll be punished for not capitalising and scoring in those first 20.

Oh yeah, it was all planned. Didn't want it anyway.Much rather Blind at left back. I think he was great against St Etienne so I have no idea why he would be dropped. At least it is not Darmian at LB so I'll take it. Rojo is defensively better and is MUCH MORE likely to whip in a proper cross than Darmian.Happy with the team, even Rojo and Lingard.I think Rojo at L.B is our best option.- Status
