The news on Varela came too late to change my picks, surprised at the Herrera and Schneiderlin midfield combo but I guess Carrick is shagged out. Shame Pereira still doesn't get a start.

Nice to see Varela back, I thought he'd be out until the next game at the least. I can't say I'm surprised to see Carrick on the bench due to this schedule of games we have, hopefully we can get through this game without needing him.

Doubt Andreas will start a single game for the rest of the season

Glad McNair isn't involved from the start. But a shame Pereira didn't get the nod over Mata or Herrera.

Martial is going to be knackered soon, surely? Can't remember the last game he didn't play.

It's quite funny that it has got to a point where Varela and Borthwick-Jackson are considered the experienced full-backs.

    Look at that bench..
At least some youngsters will get the chance.
Hoping Keane will get a few min

Yeah it says a lot about CBJ that he's become such an important player over the last few weeks.

Really thought Pereira would start, I'm a little annoyed. Mata has been poor and I think a rest will do him good.

it appears to be completely obvious to everyone that management/ownership are entirely comfortable with us avoiding the champions league.
They're comfortable with investing enough to remain competitive but not going above the point that could hurt their returns. They're likely looking at what our competitors have achieved in terms of financial return and a club like Arsenal are the gold standard. Not City or Chelsea, who are funded by aggressive owners willing to eat losses for on-pitch success.

Yeah, he's probably getting a little pissed off not getting a look in.

exactly I'm sure its difficult when trying to get into a team playing well but when you dont get a sniff in a team that is playing so badly over so many months, must really suck balls.

Eh, probably the best team he could've picked.

Lingard is the only one I can complain about.

It seems Fellaini and Rooney are more likely to make another 200 appearances for United before Pereira gets a chance. The boy needs to move on to bigger and better things

Why not start Pereira against a fecking relegation-threatened League One club, especially when both Mata and Lingard have been shit?

Think it's possible if we take a backs to the wall approach and everybody play for each other, we may be able to keep them out till at least half time. You never know, if the chips fall right, we may even get them back to Old Trafford for a replay.

    Crossing my fingers....................
