Under van Gaal, we've lost to MK Dons, drawn to Cambridge University, struggled against Greek yoghurt, lost to Middlesbrough and to a team founded by Peter Dinklage.

I think the we'll be tamed by the Shrew-sbury.

If they still played at Gay Meadow, we could have all kinds of puns.

Aw, I never realised they changed it. Political correctness gone mad.

They knocked the old Gay Meadow down a few years ago and built a new stadium. I went there once many years ago for a match against Bury. The river Severn ran by the old ground and, so I was told, some bloke used to sit there in a homemade coracle waiting for balls to plop down next to him.

I can confirm this is accurate.

I never doubted it. Such eccentrics were commonplace at football grounds up and down the country in those days. When my dad used to take me to Old Trafford as a youngster, we'd get off the train at Warwick Road and walk down to the ground. There was a bloke who used to stand on his soapbox preaching to the passing crowds. Every now and again, on cold days, my dad would buy him a hot pie and cup of tea for his efforts.

Both Donald Love and our 4th choice GK Joel Pereira (who becomes 2nd choice at the moment with both De Gea and Johnstone injured) are both cup-tied.Dean Henderson (5th choice GK) returned from his loan at Stockport.

I'll never want United not to win a football match. But if we do and as a result Van Gaal is fired my disappointment with the result will pale into comparison with the massive big silver lining that would be his departure. Just saying.

Can he? Or is it just pick a name out of a hat?:)

Fergie used to play defensive midfielders at full back quite often. Fletcher and Hargreaves come to mind, but who knows what LVG will do.

Probably McNair with Blind in the center since CBJ might be back?

When's the press conference? Bedy Moratti's comment will surely be brought up.

You should believe it we lost to fecking Middlesborough, not to mention a team that barely any of us had even heard of who hadn't played a match in two months and lost 3 out of their last 6 league games in the bloody Norwegian league or something.

Perhaps piss is the incorrect term. I think we will probably scrape a win, but it'll be a shitty performance of course.

I secretly hope we lose, because there is no way we can lose to Bournemouth, Shrewsbury Town, Middlesborough, Sunderland and some random european club without someone taking action. Then again, this is Manchester United.

The mood really has turned ugly if the views of decent fans come to that.

Why is 5-0 to Shrewsbury even a possible prediction? That's not going to happen.

    ...famous last words ;)

Before the Midgetland and Sunderland games, pretty much every MUFC fan, said that we cannot lose to either team.
We ended up losing both games.

    I'd assume it will be:

    McNair-Smalling-Blind-CBJ

    They're all fit right?

    Romero
    McNair--Smalling--Blind--CBJ
    Carrick--Schneiderlin
    Pereira--Mata--Memphis
    Martial

subs: Henderson; Riley, Poole, Herrera, Weir, Lingard, Keane

If CBJ is still unwell then Poole to the centre back position and Blind at left back :nervous:
This team is so weak at the moment it's incredible.

Possibly Axel Tuanzebe with Smalling moving to right back. van Gaal showed last game that he does move CB from their positions but I'm not sure if he will do that with Smalling.

I'm optimistic about getting the right result here. Hopefully it will signal the start to a new era at Utd.
    5-0 shrewsbury.

    I would play like this:

    Romero
    McNair - Smalling - Blind - CBJ
    Schneiderlin
    Herrera - Pereira
    Lingard - Martial - Memphis
But I think we will see Carrick and Mata as starters.

Does anyone know if Januzaj can play?

But But LVG said he wants to win the F.A cup!

Yeah, he also said that he wants to win the title and that he wanted to win the Europa League.
Every trophy he sets his mind on, we end up getting knocked out.

So far we have been lucky in the FA Cup, getting opponents like Derby, Sheffield Utd and Shrewsbury and as a result are still in that competition. To compare, MCFC are playing Chelsea, today.
This year's EPL: apparently one of the weakest in recent history. LVG messed that one up, too.
In the CL, we got an easy group, avoiding all the favourites. And we lost that one.
In the Europa League, when the game started against Midgetland, the commentator stated that Midgetland were probably the worst team in the competition. We lost that game.

So, LVG is getting a lot of luck, by being drawn against weak competitors in all competitions. But his team is so bad, that they can't take advantage of the good luck being offered.

How ppl still want McNair at RB baffles me, a train wreck waiting to happen
