Think the team pretty much picks itself at the minute with all the injuries:

    --------------------------------------------------De Gea---------------------------------------------
    AWB--------------------------Lindelof------------------Maguire--------------------Dalot
    ---------------------------------Casemiro--------------------Fred------------------------------
    Anthony---------------------------------------Eriksen-----------------------------------Sancho
    ----------------------------------------------------Martial------------------------------------------

I think the only real change to this would be Wout in for Martial and then Martial to come off the bench. You could also put Eriksen deeper with Fred in free role..... Probably most likely that the two will just rotate through the game.

Any inside scoop info on Shaw, Sabitzer and Rashford? Even if they're not ready to start, it feels quite reassuring having them on the bench.
But yeah, starting eleven really picks itself. Only question mark is if Sabitzer is fine and could he start ahead of Fred?

I feel like Fred has been neglected, recently. Several games where he looked like the obvious choice but wasn't in the starting lineup, nor was he subbed on.

I think he's the right choice for this game, but, equally, Ten Hag has been favouring MuckyT recently.

Very innovative of the club to bring Kulusevski to our coaching setup. Maybe he's a mentor for Antony?

Fred seems to have some good spells with Casemiro, so hopefully they'll gel and grab a goal or two themselves to add to those that Antony and Martial will score. 1:4 final score

They were resting loads of players due to the relegation 6 pointer away match against Valencia in La Liga (which they won 2-0). Now they've steadied their ship a bit, 8 point gap from the relegation places and have a home tie against a significantly weakened and rather tired United to give their season some genuine meaning. Their fans certainly create an atmosphere and the team has plenty of know-how in the dark arts.

I'd make them favourites to progress to the semis, but a win there in these circumstances would be the 2nd biggest achievement of the season after knocking out Barca (we had a pretty favourable run towards the League Cup).

A win there and I think this team's confidence will generate enough momentum to finish this season very well.
Yeah, they're all very valid points.

We had a stronger team out against their weaker one and really should have taken huge advantage. Somehow it ended all square and we now find ourselves in the opposite position - us with a weaker team, them, likely, going much stronger and in front of their intimidating fans.

I was really hoping they'd lose to Valencia to keep their relegation hopes alive so that they might rest some players again. But now we're really going to have to do it the hard way. It's still doable, but it's going to be a huge ask and a great achievement from the available players if they manage to do it.

So fecking annoying that Bruno misses the game for such a ridiculous yellow. Especially after he and Eriksen were pretty much flawless vs Brentford.

Hope it doesnt go to extra time.

Obvs want to win but we need to not go to ET and/or lose anyone else to injury

With Bruno out it’s out of Fred and mctominay who starts. I’d go for Fred and press them like mad. Go at them from the first minute.

Yeah, I know what you mean, that's why I wrote it :)
He's never won a match against them, has a terrible experience regarding the last final (as we all do), and is generally not good at saving pens. It would be sweet if he decided the game against those feckers.

Seville are a poor side. They were incredibly lucky to come away from OT level. United should win, We are a much better side.
They played us off the park for about 15-20 minutes in the first half. They're pretty good from what i can tell, good passing, good movement, but maybe having bad luck in the league? Not sure. We definitely caused our own demise though in the second thanks to ol 'arry.

Yep, and similar situation as to why we needed to play Barca…the penalty against Martinez. Seems crazy but expected in these competitions.

I expect a lot of the dark arts to be happening during this next match.

Put 200% efforts into this. We can still do it, just need to play the game of our life.

    Hope you're right.

The shithousery and ref could really prove difficult to overcome. If it's similar to the last game it's how many nasty tackles and bookings do we want to take to get through.

I wouldn't be that upset if our players just get out of dodge with this tie now if it's obvious the toll needed during play.

Hope it's like the away game at Villarreal in the CL not so long ago. We feared the worst but ended up being a very quiet cake walk for us.

Those who come here saying that we should brush Sevilla to side 3-0 because they haven't had their usual solid 5th or 6th place season in La Liga are mistaken - same are the ones who expect us to fold 3-0 to them because it's "hostile Spanish side". The truth will be somewhere in between, it's gonna be a hard game and a hostile environment to play in, but with the right tactics and gameplan, we should win and overcome.

Agreed and what I've seen of Sevilla they are a lucky side.

    Decent home form in 2023. P9 W7 D1 L1

Rumours online that Sabitzer and Rashford could start in Seville. Be a huge boost if true.

    Casemiro
    Eriksen
    Sabitzer

    Antony
    Martial
    Rashford

Im confident even without Rashford, Bruno - we can field a side full of seasoned international players. Brazilliant winger, french forward, Casemiro, Erikson, Fred, Shaw, Maguire, Lindelof, Dalot - Sancho/Weg the Leg. Lets go UTD!!

Would be amazed if Rashford started this. At best, a cameo if needed in the last 20. Would be great just to have back in the fold.

Honestly i fancy us to go through.

Sevilla were horrible in that first game, and i have faith in this team to get a result.

Bruno will be a big miss, i dont actually remember our last game without him. If theres any chance we can gave shaw back, it would be a big bonus.

I'm going to put my faith in United and bet every spare penny I got on us winning. Now watch us finish the 90 with a draw and go out on pens.

Seville were lucky, we should've won 3-0 at least.

We're not 3 goals down to Bayern ffs, this is very well a winnable game for us, last time we went to Spain we beat Betis 1-0 with Weghorst, Maguire and Pellistri starting.

Don't forget, Sevilla rested about 7 players from their regular starters in order to prioritise their league game v Valencia. That worked perfectly for them as they (somehow) got a great result against us, and then won that important league game.

I imagine we'll be facing their first team this time around - at their ground - so it'll be a much tougher task and how weakened our team is this time around, or how many of our players return in time, may be crucial.

Really crucial to score first here. Would not want to be chasing a game against these.

Be interesting to see how we line up with players coming back into the fold/Brighton on the weekend.

Can't see Eriksen starting all 3 games following last weekend. Wouldn't be surprised to see:

v Sevilla: DDG; AWB, Lindelof, Maguire, Dalot; Fred, Casemiro, Sabitzer; Antony, Sancho, Martial

v Brighton: DDG; AWB, Lindelof, Shaw, Dalot; Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes; Antony, Rashford, Martial
