Well if that's true LvG is being silly not having a settled team as best as he can.
It's probably proof of how bad things have gotten that our main wish is that players get to play in something even slightly close to their best position.
I can only assume that he meant the formation. In his defence, the immediate reaction to seeing the lineup was "FFS".
That is something I'm trying to remember but what bothers me is I don't see why we have to do that. Why wait a year for a 352 to work when we can play a formation that suits us now? Is the 352 that good? Then why doesn't everyone play it?

In general, they are awful. They do surprisingly well at home though (8th best home record in the league this season - better than Liverpool, Spurs, Everton). Yeah....gonna be a difficult game. We are going to struggle in the air without smalling with Evans struggling against Austin and Zamora. Nothing from our left wingback Blind or Rojo.

However, we are changing so many things every single game regarding our wingbacks, defenders, strikers and midfielders that I find it hard to believe we will make it click in the coming months. I would simply go with a formation more familiar to our players. And there’s plenty other reasons not to use 3-5-2 really.
I've never felt Carrick has had an issue with mobility, not with the way he plays the game. Besides Blind would be right there next to him to help when needed.
Think when playing both of them Blind would be better off with more freedom of the two, would allow him to try and win the ball higher up the pitch without fear of letting the opposition geting in behind him.

It's a squad game, I am sure Herrera is well aware of that. It is different coming from Bilbao to a massive club like this. Next season he might be in the side and someone else is warming the bench, that is how it is.
