I'm happy to see that a lot of United fans see this game how it is. What really annoys me though is so many writing us off, given it's only a 2 goal difference.

I know our squad is that depleted but as cliché as it is, unexpected series of events have occurred countless times in football, especially in Europe. If it was a 3 or 4 goal margin then I would be not even considering the forementioned 'upset'.

If they dont take the piss and we don't go for it then I won't criticise Ole. If they do then I'll just convince myself that we were never good enough anyway to win a CL but also remember we are unbeaten in the league under new management.
While that is true, a team going through after losing the home leg 2-0 in the Champions League/European Cup occurred three times between 1979 and 2008. That's not really countless, it's very easy to count it.

3 out of 184. To say the odds are stacked against us would be a massive understatement. And that would be true even without the injuries and Pogba's suspension.

Juventus almost turned around a higher deficit last season though. So there's that. But frankly, all I expect is to have a go and go out with dignity. No 6-0 collapse or something.

    Understatement of the century.

    Indeed.

I'm very excited by it though, great oppurtunity for the youngster to get a chance and impress

This game feels like what United are all about. Tough European game and our team full to the brim with youth

    So were looking at;

DDG, Shaw, Lindelof, Smalling, Young, Dalot, Mctominay, Fred, Pereira, Rashford, Lukaku.

Hopefully minutes for some of Chong/Garner/Gomes/Greenwood

The pressure is off so I hope we go there and give a good account of ourselves. I don't want us getting spanked as it could hurt morale but this will be a good lesson to the young lads of what a "big game" is about.

    Whoa.. Sounds like a b-team we're fielding.

Sounds a lot like the attacking-part will be:

    Pereira - McTominay - Fred
    Dalot - Lukaku - Rashford

No way we'll win with that team. Looks very incoherent.

Might be a good time to throw a couple young players in at the deep end and see how they cope

It's what we have left. It will just be nice if some of the kids get some minutes in the CL. Great to see us integrating the kids into the squad. Which is what Manchester United do, not just go out and buy an complete second team. Nobody could predict us getting this many injuries. We try to do things the right way.

Sounds like there'll be good opportunities for subs. If PSG scores first, just start throwing in youngsters at halftime.

We are not bottling this. We miss so many players, but those who are available will play to win this shit.
It's United's philosophy, Ole will never give up on winning the leg
I don't understand people who say that we should bring in some kids and lose 4-0

Is there a thread for Brandon Williams? Couldn't find, whereas the guy definitely is travelling for PSG game and may even be on the bench

Imagine if this is the match when all the puzzle pieces are put in place for Dalot, Fred, McTominay and Pereira. Enchanted by Ole's sweet convincing voice, doped by the Champions Leagaue anthem and overflowing with pride, they go out and do their life's match. Then we would really be surprised, PSG too. It costs nothing to dream.

I'd probably be nervous if that squad was going to a championship side in the league cup! Feck. It's a hell of an ask for us to do anything here but you never know, get the first goal and they may panic a bit.

The manager search is over if we got through here, no way could you go another direction, it's hard enough to choose someone else already.

Best hope is PSG look at that side and complacency kicks in, which you wouldn't bet against given PSG's previous

Imagine all the training PSG went through to study United's best XI and then Ole doesn't start 1 of them

    De Gea
    Bailly - Smalling - Lindelof
    Young - McTominay - Fred - Shaw
    Andreas
    Lukaku - Rashford

    I’d guess that’s the starting 11.

Hope Young doesn't start. We've literally nothing to lose - just let the youngsters gain some valuable experience.

I want Ole to get the job but unfortunately I feel pessimistic for the game today. I expect a 4-0 loss.

Greenwood to outshine Mbappe and claim MOTM. Come on United!

Would be great if we scored first in the game. Just to see how they react. Would put an interesting spin on the tie.

wow our squad  not a lot of experience and star quality in there, hope some of the young lads can get some minutes

    Is Carrick taking his boots?

So thin in midfield it's frightening, but looking forward to see how the players coming in do.

    3-4-1-2 when attacking.
    5-3-2 when defending.

    DDG

    Bailly
    Smalling
    Lindelof

    Young
    McTominay
    Fred
    Shaw

    Pereira

    Rashford
    Lukaku

if we nick the first goal, the tie gets interesting.

Not expecting much, be good to see us be competitive despite so many missing.

Go out and play some football, who knows.

One main positive is Ole’s tactic. I want to see his ‘magic’ if any, regardless of the result. Nevertheless, this will be a great, great experience for him. I want him to learn as much as possible regardless of the result.
