The way things have conspired against us with injuries and suspensions i really cant see us getting a result on the night against PSG, who were technically better than us at Old Trafford.

The key game is Arsenal on sunday..... gooners have an easy run in bar the game against us. We have to win.

As a right back, yes. But I think as a wing back, Ole might prefer Dalot especially after his performance in the last game. Young has also played 2 games in the last 6 days so might get rested for the Arsenal game.

I think this could be the lineup but with Bailly at right back and Luke at left back rather than playing with wingbacks, similar to how we finished vs Southampton.

If we are going to get anything out of the game 352 is the way to go.
    .......................DDG...............
    .........Lindelof.......Smalling.......Bailly
    Dalot.........McT...........Fred...............Shaw
    .......................Pereira...............
    ...............Rashford.........Lukaku.

    Subs:Rojo;Damian;Chong;Greenwood;Young.

If we are going to get anything ouf of this game.Bailly;Fred;Pereira and Dalot will be key.Bailly needs to stick with Mpappe.Fred has to be positionally disciplined and transition quickly from defence to attack.Dalot must deliver a lot of crosses to our fowards while Pereira must occupy the space between the DM and Defence to pick passes or shoot.

I am not very optimistic about us progressing. We are Manchester United;if we are going to crash out;let us crash out with a bang not a whimper.

    PSG 2- 1 United.

I’m sorry but not even SAF himself would be able to pull the result out of the hat with that midfield and players here. So annoying not to at least have Martial back for this one.

Their away form is terrible. Their away games are not easy for them. They sit below Palace and Watford in the away table.

Although I think this is difficult, I don't think it's as impossible as people are making it out to be. We score a goal in the first 45mins and it's on. We just need our tactics to align and need a bit of luck.

Either we attack from the go, get that early goal and put pressure on them or we anticipate that they will attack to kill us off and we counter for an early goal. Either way, what excites me is that we'll be playing with all risks!

Pogba is a massive miss but he was ineffectual in the first leg and it won't take much of a performance from anyone coming in to outdo his performance at OT.

Let's do that thing again where we get mentally over optimistic in the run-up to the game. That worked well last time. 5-0, Solskjaer hat-trick.

Maybe we go 4 4 2 with Rashford Lukaku top there this time? Lukaku with the current form can score from any position in or outside the box, we just need to bring the ball there for him to whip it. I believe he can score 2 or even 3. He may need 45 mn to warm up so we need to warm him up before the game properly or have Rashford or Pereira score 1 in the first half! And defend like hungry players.

Rashford looked like the ankle wasn't bothering him too much at the weekend, but I would be safe and rest him. anyone who might be carrying an injury should be rested, can't afford to have even less options against Arsenal.

Kimpembe is a be is a possible weak link in their back line if we can get at him. Can’t see us getting through their midfield so the threat will have to be out wide. 3-5-2 and get Dalot crossing to Lukaku and see how Kimpembe likes it.

Even a few long balls to Rom could do the trick.

If we try to pass it around in the middle of the park they will pick us off and win 2 or 3 nil.

Realistically they are far too good for us but if by some miracle we got an early goal, anything is possible.

What’s the point in trying to qualify for the Champions League if we don’t try to win every game when we are in it. Makes no sense. We are Man United and we don’t surrender. We pick the best players available and make our opponents earn everything they get.

Yes, and if we do go out, let's go out fighting. PSG need to know they've been in a game.

I don't get this mentality either. This is the type of game you play champions league football for. We better give it our absolute best. Of course, can't expect much from this game but if I see Ole selecting a B squad (if thats possible with injuries) I'd be disappointed.

Makes a lot of sense to be honest. I mean Solskjaer’s perspective if he gets the job he will really get judged on next seasons performance. From a recruitment side of things, he will be able to maintain a positive attraction to players if we are in the Champions League. Whether we give it a good shot on Wednesday is almost irrelevant given how far behind we are given our injuries and previous result. I wouldn’t risk Rashford for this.

What's worse loosing a game in tie which we're basically done for in or loosing a game(s) which could effect getting to play said ties again next season?

The first leg score line, the injuries, the suspensions, the opposition, there's too much going against us whereas we have a real shot at giving it another go next season

At the end of the day, there's a chance. Think about this, it's the last 10 minutes and you need two goals to go through to ET/Penalties. Wouldn't you want the players to give it their all or just sit back?

We have 90 whole minutes to get 2 goals. We get 1 early goal, just 1 and then watch how the tie can change. We can't give up on this tie. Lukaku may unlock their defense or one of our midfielders who get a chance due to injury may have an absolute stormer on that day.

A PSG player may get injured/sent off. We have to be there at full strength to take advantage.

And besides, it's PSG vs Man United. The last time we had a game this big was Bayern like forever ago. These big games don't come often!

We're all about giving youth a chance right?

    Young - Smalling - Lindelof - Shaw
    Garner - McTominay
    Dalot - Gomes - Chong
    Lukaku

I really want to beat Arsenal.

    Agree completely.
I'm not anticipating us going through but who knows Rashford could get played in in the first minute and get taken down by Thiago Silva as a last man. Complete game changer.

We're all so adamant to get Top 4 this year so we qualify for CL next year; but at the same time there's a large segment of our fans who want us to 'take the L' in the very competition we're so desperate to qualify for.

    Complete Liverpool attitude.

    Yes, but not traumatising them.

I'd play Bailly and Rojo instead of Young and Shaw. Honestly not sure Garner is ready to be in the middle with McTominay. So Fred and Pereira should start.

Rojo is a calamity waiting to happen. At LB moreso. He shouldn't be near our teams.

He's done ok at left back and I'd much rather have Shaw rested for Arsenal. He played in the World Cup for Argentina at world cup and was fine.

Im not even going to deny it, we are not ready for teams like this yet. We lack the fitness and mental discipline. This is no dig, i think we have been incredible since December but Europes alite is just a step too far. Even if we lose 3 0, all i want to see is the lads show hunger and desire to win as they have recently. I am positive that come August 2019, we will be much better equipped as a team for games like this and with a few big signings.

Yeah, you never know, maybe PSG go down to 10 men or something.

I took a combined bet: Dortmund, Liverpool, United to go through. An extreme long shot, only 3 quid, but nice odds.

Have MEN not covered who's been spotted in the travelling squad yet?

A game too far for Ole. We might bow out with a draw but we just don't have it in us to pull this out the bag I think.

I am surprised more people aren't more encouraged by the fact that PSG has on more than one occasion completely buckled in these knockout stages. In fact, can anyone tell me when PSG last made a semi final in the Champions League? That's right, never.
