He’s disrupted our entire balance up front. He cuts into the same space Pogba occupies, and playmakes to lesser effect. We don’t need him doing that when we have Pogba, we are better off with someone who’s going to run into the channels, run at defenders, stretch the back line.

His long passing doesn't need to be good when he's part of the front three, but still, I disagree wholeheartedly that his long passing is poor. When Mata has things happening around him he's very dangerous - we saw that with his interchange for Pogbas chance. When he's isolated on the right he's redundant. We need to spread our attacks a little because everything is pushing to the left side. If we aren't prepared to do that then yeah, he should come off.
