Are you serious. This! :)

Btw I hope you'll beat the French tonight. You deserve it.
Thanks. We should beat Wigan without much drama whilst the final is perhaps more of a one off happening.

Desperately need to rest Herrera and Pogba. This is where Morgan would have been handy.

Fellaini
Mata - Rooney
Mkhi - Rashford - Martial

Could we get away with something as ugly as this?

Excited to see Shaw and Martial. I still believe those two can take us to another level if both can get back to their best form from last season.

We'll win today irregardless of the team we put out. It just depends on whether we struggle to 1-0 win or get a 4-0 mauling.

I agree. I'd love to see this as our first 11 more often than not.

De Gea
Valencia Bailly Rojo Shaw
Pogba Carrick
Mkhitaryan Mata Martial
Zlatan

With Carrick replaced as a starter in the summer by Weigl or Neves. Griezmann to replace Rooney in the squad and be the first choice no10 behind Zlatan. A new CB like Lindelof for obvious reasons.

De Gea
Valencia Bailly Lindelof Shaw
Pogba Weigl
Mkhitaryan Griezmann Martial
Zlatan

We would finally have a world class 11 for the first time since 2009ish

It is quite possible Fellaini and Schweinsteiger can be the midfield pairing today :nervous:

I don't remember that really. Which one. Even if it happened it hasn't happen after that and doubt Mourinho will go for that. Would like to see it btw.
I agree it's very unlikely and it would be nice to try once. It was just to show that Mourinho once considered it (Blind played a disastrous 66' against Dortmund in Shanghai, in a midfield two with Herrera).

Herrera watching the tennis
No word on whether he was watching the Australian Open from the Lowry or from home. But it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see him rested today.

Those teams look very exciting in an attacking sense but we would get overrun in midfield with those teams. Pogba is actually poor defensively and goes missing leaving us open at the back. It's ok with Carrick and Herrera behind him but with just one midfielder partnering Pogba will will likely be caught out on the counter repeatedly.

No chance
It's probably more a result of Wigan being shit!
It tells a lot about Mourinho's achievemnents the overconfidence about this game, after Liverpool got thrashed at home by a very similar opponent and Tottenham had a real scare.

Really looking forward to this, I know people don't care about it as much but I love the FA Cup.

Would be surprised if Valencia doesn’t start, hasn’t played in 8 days and he has no problem playing on Sunday and next Wednesday. That being said, would love to see TFM start

Not really a rumour that Shaw could start since Mourinho practically confirmed it anyway.

Yeah, guess Norwood is struggling with the lack of attention without any signings at airports, so he just wanted some love.

Trying to see if Fosu-Mensah works at right-back so as to set Young free?

Interesting. Would have thought TFM in midfield. Maybe Mourinho hasn't made up his mind on his best position yet. Or perhaps he will start at one position but get moved to the other later in the game. Seems Schweini may actually start a game and rumours of him being registered for the EL. Can't see him playing more than 60 minutes though. Fellaini and Schweini presumably in a 4-2-3-1? Risky.

Maybe as Ashley is rarely getting picked now. If he works it could save us a lot of money on a backup RB and TFM could be Tony V's replacement eventually. That money could be spent elsewhere.

Don't believe Timboo will start. Valencia was rested against Hull so I reckon he'll play today.

Valencia won't play three in a week though... I'd have thought Mou will want him to start the two PL games this week so my hunch is he'll miss out again here.

Rumours of starts for Fosu-Mensah and Schweinsteiger
That would be very popular with fans.

Unconfirmed, but, Timothy Fosu-Mensah could be at right-back today. Rumours that Bastian Schweinsteiger & Luke Shaw could start, also.

I really hope TFM starts but am I the only going that he is not considered as a long term option at RB. I'd rather have him play centrally than Fellaini

Oh aye that's true. Our PL games are the 1st and the 5th.
