Fellaini scored .Meltdown
I really don't know. He seems more like last resort because we lack depth in midfield.
were his tactics as old-fashioned?I laughed too.
Interesting-ish fact: James Joyce shared a name, Aloysius, with our former manager LVG.
Yeah but I don't think do that the few times an overlap is needed, Mourinho would be angry at Shaw.Isn't that Mourinho's style though? One fullback marauding forward while the other is more reserved? TFM has been attacking a lot.
If anyone expects him to be the creator in midfield then yeah, he's going to let you down hard. But he's been good in defense, scored a goal and has been a threat to Wigan. Had a good half, and I can't ask more from himWe all know Fella is extremely limited as it is, but in a two man mid like today, he's worse. Bastian is doing the work of two people. But they obviously have been instrumental in the goal, so they have been effective today more than Rooney, more than Mata.
Never said that.Well feck if Hull was our best team we are double buggered

This is our 8th game in January and we'll have played another two games by the 5th of February. I personally don't think he's rotated enough!Well feck if Hull was our best team we are double buggered
That to me says more about the other players not doing what's required of them. As a footballer Fellaini is not good enough. You're right. He is sticking out. He's probably been our best player today.
Who else has stepped up today?
They can buy they haven't in the last couple of gamesWhat makes you think our guys can't go a gear up?
Well we all miss Evra bombing down the left...Yeah but I don't think do that the few times an overlap is needed, Mourinho would be angry at Shaw.

It's not the rotation, it's where the players are playing. It's feels shoehorned at times.
Let's see. Wigan don't seem to be keen to up a gear and their sitting back is allowing us time to gear up.They can buy they haven't in the last couple of games
I like the frankness of Shearer and Lineker. I often agree with a lot of what they say. Certainly agree with them regarding the resting of players in cup competitions. It's a fecking trophy, try and win it!
I'm happy for Fellaini when he scores and he doesn't deserve abuse thrown at him, but he just doesn't belong at this club. He's like a sore thumb sticking out.
Martial's moved wide left with Rooney up front.
Since 30' of the first half, really.Martial's moved wide left with Rooney up front.
What? The Axel guy looks a bit over confident
I think its tactical. i seem to remember that hs often was asked to cover more centrally as his speed and passing is good to help sweep. He's not been good. He's basically existed and not much more than that. He's reluctant to help in the attack to the point that he's getting yelled at to overlap... I thought his attacking ability was one of his strengths as a fullback?
You could say the same about the likes of Cleverly and Anderson, or Januzaj in that one season, it just shows how weak our squad was if we have to rely on his goals. It's a different yardstick for Fellaini which is very unfair. He's not a world beater but he has been instrumental to some of the victories United have copped over the years.
He's what?
Christ almighty, the shit starts again.

Christ almighty he's picking up the ball deep, moving it around, covering for his absent double pivot, etc. Fella is often times not near him. Bastian isn't running around, but he's been putting himself about being in position for his teammates. he's been fine for the first 45.
