I think it's his aggression in the box...not sure......but one thing we lack in this team is aggression. Yeah...it has it's risks...but you need it in a squad even if it looks ugly!

You could have a point. Rooney was pointing and yelling for the overlap, and Shaw just didn't go, and he hasn't really gone since. He may well be under instruction.
This is our 8th game in January and we'll have played another two games by the 5th of February. I personally don't think he's rotated enough!

I like them to, but honestly?...Football has changed so much. It's about that top four...that is where the money is....especially coorporate money. Fot the big clubs...it's all about getting into Europe. Having said that....Wigan are in the bottom three of the Championship...the players we put out there are United players, many internationals...or at least ex internationals...it should be way enough to dispatch Wigan easily.....

No one holds a brief for him but it's a known fact that his best position is behind a centre forward(in the hole)
United bought him and played him in a pivot and yet the fans expect him to perform miracles there. When other players(fan favourites) are played out of position, excuses are reeled out when the performance is below par.
It's a different yardstick for Fellaini which is very unfair. He's not a world beater but he has been instrumental to some of the victories United have copped over the years.

I think its tactical. i seem to remember that hs often was asked to cover more centrally as his speed and passing is good to help sweep.
You could say the same about the likes of Cleverly and Anderson, or Januzaj in that one season, it just shows how weak our squad was if we have to rely on his goals.
Christ almighty he's picking up the ball deep, moving it around, covering for his absent double pivot, etc. Fella is often times not near him. Bastian isn't running around, but he's been putting himself about being in position for his teammates. he's been fine for the first 45.
