Big game for Maguire. Antony must be injured then.I was confident but with Maguire, Elanga and Ronaldo starting I'm not as much. Don't think we can score more than 2, hopefully we then don't concede more than 1.People are overreacting like drama queen as usual. With Martial and Antony both out, and Sancho in poor form, what other options do we have other than starting Ronaldo, who scored a goal last game btw.
Also, with Varane out injured and Lindelof unavailable because of illness, do people really expect us not to start Maguire and play Mctominay or Shaw there instead?

I understand to some degree as there’s change at CB, both wide areas and CF.
It’s a concern given we’ve been settled and in good form.
That said we need to use the squad.I thought maguire did well when he came on.

I don't think people expect anything different, I think that a lot of people are rightfully worried that we are going to really struggle with this team. Maguire doesn't have any match fitness and wasn't in any form when he did. Ronaldo is still a shadow of the player of a couple of seasons back and a tap in after a poor performance vs utter dross doesn't exactly fill you with confidence. Elanga is full of work and energy but sorely lacking in quality.
West Ham are a decent team. Its going to be a tough game.

Yeah Sancho/Garnacho off the bench seems like our backup plan. We can switch to the formation we used against Sheriff with Bruno on the right, Rashford playing support for Ronaldo and Sancho/Garnacho on the left if we're chasing a goal. At least everyone else doesn't cause scenes when they rightly get dropped due to poor form. All of Maguire, Shaw, Snacho etc have been dropped and subbed due to their poor forms at some point and none created scenes but Ronaldo has to be a diva about everything despite being utterly crap.
