    Be really interesting to see McTominay and Rice up against each other, both in the DM position.

    De Gea ;
    Dalot - Varane - Maguire - Telles ;
    Fred - Matic - McT - Bruno ;
    Cristiano - Greenwood / Elanga

    Midfield diamond, Matic to sit back, fred and Mct to drive forward and press, Bruno to keep up climbing the assist charts. Ronaldo hat trick for a 3-2 win.

    Elanga, Donny, and Rashy coming in as subs.

    It's a bit unfair imo. McT is not even a DM.

    I don't think there's anything unfair. If anything it's an opportunity for McTominay to show the gap between the two isn't as big as most think.

    I’m the sure man who’s won more champions league titles than our football club could add something to our starting 11. He contributed nicely to our second goal against Brentford and I think he’ll score if he gets the start.

    By that logic, let's bring sign Paolo Maldini at this point because his past Champions League success must mean he has something to add to this team.

    Tight and nervy 2-1 win.

    I felt we've been getting slowly stronger over the last few weeks.
    Maguire worries me.
    I hope he doesn't feck up

    In before the
    "I can't believe we've changed manager but we're still seeing Mcfred on the teamsheet"
    "what does Donny need to do to get a game?"
    Official conclusion I have seen and it makes sense is VDB isn’t fast or strong enough to be a premier league player…. 3 different managers have come to to same conclusion.
    If Vdb was that good a club would have paid at least £25m to buy him and they haven’t. They L want a loan where they can try him and send him back

    Ronny is injured (neck injury) according to Rangnick and Talksport. And I think Cavani is injured again and out of the match against West Ham tomorrow too.. we knew it would happen because Cavani is made of glass and you can't rely on him or build around him! :nervous:

    so a very exciting and youthful front 3 of Rashford-Greenwood-Elanga

    :drool:

    It could be a massive success or a disaster waiting to happen.. no in-between!

    I think he's a DM?

    Tbh I don't know about the gap but imo it's a bit unfair if you judge a striker being used as a CB against an actual CB. McT is a B2B being used as a DM.

    It'll just be interesting to see. No real judgement, not from me anyway. I think McTominay stacks up pretty well in comparison to Rice.

    Agreed it'd be interesting and also the no judgement. My bad if I misunderstood you.

    Tbh I only don't want to see our fans jumping on McT if he can't be as good as another true DM. Let alone as good as Rice.

    He's a centre midfielder who is good defensively, but he's more of a box to box midfielder, in my opinion. He and Soucek often dovetail with each other, although it may be argued that Rice is the more defensive out the two, which I'd probably agree with.

    That being said, Rice has played as a holding midfielder for England, so he can certainly perform in that role, however, he gets forward quite often for West Ham, with those long marauding runs, which has become a big feature of his game these days.

    I read somewhere today that Ralf is giving the euro players a break.

    It's after the West Ham match. It's only a week I think. It's for the countries to get their games in that had to be postponed last break I believe. I think they're all South American.
    Nope. This international break was determined before the season. It's because WC qualifiers for South America and North America need the window as games were missed because of the pandemic. Asia also playing WCQ in that period.

    2-1 win. Very tight.

    Taking the wife to her first ever game. RR confirmed Maguire is going to start :nervous:. Would rather have played Jones next to Varane at CB than Maguire. We don’t have no cover at FB which is a worry in case either Dalot or Telles need to come off. I think (well hopefully) we will edge this. Massive game.

    Starting XI

    De Gea

    Dalot - Maguire - Varane - A.Telles

    McTominay - Fred - B.Fernandes

    Greenwood - Ronaldo - Elanga

    Subs: Henderson, Jones, Matic, Van De Beek, Mata, Lingard, Martial, Cavani, Rashford,

    Score Prediction - Manchester United 2-1 West Ham United

    Feels like forever since we had a Saturday 3pm kick-off.

    Don't we have any young DMs coming from the academies that we can bring in the squad? I'm tired of the rotation between Matic and Fred.

    We concede at least 2 then. Should have been Jones. Unless it's Magure and Jones. :lol:

    Weird that this one isn’t on the telly. Feels like forever since we had a live game against West Ham at home in the league. Usually reserved for games at their place or the odd cup game.

    RR thinks the world of him, don't he?

    I wonder how many bad performances & stupid mistakes Maguire must have before managers see the light?

    Costed so much, captain, they have fear to take radical decisions, they have fear to take that responsibility
