Heads exploded. We were in total control ...pressing...cohesion...structure...but lacked killer instinct until the last kick. The Ralf evolution begins

Please post the rule that says a player's head can't be offside.

No, that would mean I have to do some actual work, and, frankly, I can't be assed.

Feel free to find the correct ruling yourself, then come back here and tell me all about it, then I'll show you how much I care.

    :p

    Thank god.

No idea why the twats are celebrating as if we've won a major trophy though.

It wasn't exactly a cup final, but did it need to be? Winning a match in stoppage time at Old Trafford is usually something that will have supporters wildly celebrating!

There must have been a VAR check, but the goal was given quickly without any delay so maybe not. Definitely offside though, but I stand by my belief that we were long overdue for the rub of the green.

There was a VAR-check. I have even seen the lines, and he wasn't even close to being offside. When the line was drawn Cresswell I think it was was clearly played him on. Probably 30 cm

How can you keep saying this with so much confidence? They always check those decisions. It was given because it was onside.

Who cares what that hirsute moron thinks.
Thanks for not having to check which one it is, him or the baldy guy on Bein. Not really watching them, I know how they look like, but don't know which is which. And couldn't care less. But it was so clear after your post.
And for remembering that word, haven't heard it in ages.

    It wasn’t, but whatever.

I just wanted a different word for hairy. I don't watch Bein, but he has always been the more moronic of the two. They are both dinosaurs. If Keys is annoyed it makes it even sweeter.

RR thinks the world of him, don't he?

I wonder how many bad performances & stupid mistakes Maguire must have before managers see the light?

Replying to my own comment...I thought Maguire had one of those ever so rare good games today & we kept a rare clean sheet as well.

His head was in an offside position, but his front foot was onside. The rules say he is oside in that situation.
His head was not offside. He was not offside. It was a legit goal. Dazn even showed it with the lines.

West Ham watchalong provided some really eloquent, well thought out feedback to Rashford scoring....

Richard Keys was adamant that he was off on bein sports

When yer man Keys was the main man on SKY Sports & UTD were still regularly winning trophies I don't recall Keys having any beef with UTD but since joining Bein on the rare occasions I've seen Bein's coverage of UTD's matches he does seem to slag them off a fair bit.

Does anyone have any gifs or highlights of Rangnick celebrating?

Gotta love Fred sprinting from the bench to the corner flag celebrating!

All goals are checked and it was onside.

The PL have released the stills.

Crazy isn’t it, the lads celebrating a last minute winner at old Trafford. They should have all quietly walked back to the half way line crying and begging for forgiveness. Pathetic.

Took all of 10 seconds and if you don't care that much then why post about it?

    Law 11 Offside...

"A player is in an offside position if:
    • any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the halfway line) and
    • any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent"
I bolded the pertinent words for you, not that you care about actual facts apparently :wenger:

I can't remember the last time there was an atmosphere like that at OT. I actually felt like a cup-final at times.
My heart was still pounding 20m later. Took my breath away. Went so mental i didnt take in who scored. And then did not take in that there was even a VAR check. Anyway kept up my record of having never seen United lose live.

If you were there, there was so much frustration about how we had so much control of the game yet never showed enough urgency to get the ball forward. Lots of sideways and back passing. And we were running out of time. A draw would have been a major blow to any chance of Top 4. So yes that winning goal was massive to any chances of a decent season. Hence utter bedlam. It was a release of all that pent up frustration. It was vaguely reminiscent of Steve Bruce's famous 97th minute header against Sheffield Wednesday in 1993 that propelled us to our first title win in 26 years.

I've been bemused by the ABUs claiming Cavani was 'clearly' offside, pointing to the fact that his head is past the line they draw from the defender's foot, but not realising that you have to draw a line down to the point on the pitch Cavani's head was over (as clearly shown on the official VAR image).

So it seems that the major problem these ABUs have isn't with the offside law, or even VAR, but with the basic principles of three dimensional space. But I guess that's always a danger when you live your life through a smartphone screen. They should get out into the real world occasionally.

Agreed Maguire has been solid but he needs to stop thinking he's the new Scholes.

Agreed on the subs too. Think second half Ralf will bring Cavani and Rashford on. For who I don't know. Our front three have been pretty wank but considering the level of pressing we've done imo it should be Ronaldo first.

It's lovely to be right for once haha :)
