    None of these kids are Pogba. but we still need to learn that lesson. Play people where they play rather than forcing people in the wrong position.
     
    I said to myself I wont look for a lineup before the game or maybe wont watch it cause I'll be too nervous.. But I'm doing it all again of course.
     
    Unfortunately I can't see a win for us today. Going to be a 2-2 or 2-3 to west ham.

    A serious situation where we need a win so play someone out of position when they looked awful in their own position. That is no reason to play Fletcher at CB over Thorpe who is a CB and has looked much better than Blackett who has done well enough when he's been relied upon.

    Maybe Blind could play CB.
    As for Thorpe loooking better before that doesn't mean anything.

    In any case I agree it's better to play a CB at CB but it will be a squeaky bum time in any case. :)
     
    Safer option :lol: Like playing Park and Rafael in midefield was safe because they were experienced players, which eventually led to a young native midfielder leaving who is now first name on the team sheet for the Italian champions

    Blind has played CB about 3-4 times in his career for Ajax and it just leaves a hole at DM too.

    Of course looking better before means something. This idea that youth/reserve/past loans don't mean anything is ridiculous.
     
    I think we will see Rooney behind van Persie and Falcao again. Mata to miss out again.

    Let me correct myself. Even if Thorpe looked better he could start today and play an awful game nevertheless.

    Couldn't agree more with this, the thing is we already know that we will have some issues at the back regardless of who plays today so why weaken the midfield by playing Blind in defense or why deny a talented player the opportunity? I'd rather we go with a young player that could surprise or cost us than play a veteran that will definitely cost us!

    Oh, you're right there of course. Looking at our recent times though unfortunately our senior players are susceptible to playing an awful game as well.

    As you say though it is better to play a CB at CB. We'll see how it goes because well there is not certainties no matter who we play in there.

    Noble was class last week so that's good news with Nolan and Kouyate also missing.
     
    I want us to wipe that grin off of big Sam's smug face. We should give him no reason to be happy today. Start like we did against QPR and smash these cnuts 4-0.
