Very nervy everytime the ball gets near our box. You can feel the atmosphere at OT is much the same. We just got to keep attacking and score more goals. Lets face it we aren't going to sort ourselves out overnight by introducing youth players and new players into the backline every week. We just have to be patient and wait for Jones to get fit and by some miracle have a long run of games.

I am less worried about the defense as those issues will be worked out through signings or youth. My worry is DDG who has been like a rock and now is just handing away points. Is the change after chnage of GK coach causing an issue?

People talking about Falcao's performance should remember players will fear him and that'll give others space. He's been so close, you just want the ball to fall for him this half.

Once Falcao scores, he will keep scoring regularly imo, he's just too good at it.

That goal we've conceded is absolutely symptomatic of everything we've done wrong this season. That defending from the corner was an absolute shambles and was nowhere near good enough. And it frustrates the hell out of me because it is the weak part of what is otherwise awe-inspiring. That attacking and possession football that we have been playing is superb. The way players are running into spaces, the way there's no panic when closed down, that's the kind of play we were bemoaning under Moyes. It's right there, all the ingredients are available to make this team fearsome. But the problem lies with the fact that when defending, the lads are like headless chickens. I reckon there would have been a few fears for McNair in his first game for the seniors but he has actually acquitted himself quite nicely. He's been quite good at covering exposed lines and he did quite well chasing down that attack down the line in the last few minutes. Rooney has been leading the line well, always on the ball, always getting his teammates involved. RVP and Di Maria are looking lively. From an attacking perspective, it's looking brilliant. The one thing that bothered me apart from the defending was the fact that there were a few aimless lumped long balls to nowhere when we had the ball comfortably and were under no real danger. It only served to disrupt the flow and put needless pressure on ourselves which, a few times, put us on the back foot. Some better defending and possession football to allow us to dictate things would be nice.

Also, I think it's Brian Little who's doing co-commentary. Let me just state now that listening to his incessantly whiny. nasally voice spouting the same generic meaningless bollocks makes me want to rip my ears off. It's getting so that I have to turn the sound right down whenever he speaks just so I don't destroy the TV.

I said this in another thread but we would be some team if we had a good defence, its incredibly frustrating.

The most annoying thing is that whenever we concede, the forwards seem to get nervous. We were on the front foot for almost the whole game until we conceded, then we started to make less chances. Same happened last week with Leicester's first goal. If we get the defence sorted, I think our attack will get even better.
