Too many passengers in this makeshift side. Lingard and James have been nondescript and we have no focal point up front. Mata has been the fulcrum of most of our best work and de Beek has shown some quality at times. Watford definitely have the edge on his physically and have come more and more into the game.

Mason looks lost and needs something to happen for him.

I wouldn't go so far as to say he's been great. Does he work hard? Yes. Does he offer some defensive protection with his work-rate? Yes. Does he naturally stretch the play? Yes.

But on ball he's hit two crosses to no one due to keeping his head down, hit a shot at the keeper, one way wide and one that was going for a throw-in, and that's before you number the occasions that he passed directly to the opposition and turned over the ball under almost no pressure.

Mctominay with the goal but he still can't pass for shit.
Everytime watford had a set piece I was nervous.
Shame about Bailly, not Hendos fault as you could say any Player could have done it.

Easy first half hour for the team, but Watford have come into the game since, it’s been difficult defending at times but we have got by so far. Really need to get back on the ball and get the 2nd, a little more penetration needed.

He’s looks assured and dealt with that situation well. Just because De Gea stays rooted to his line doesn’t mean that’s the correct way to play in goal.

Typical miss mash performance when changing 9 players, but absolutely the correct team selection, we’ve had the best quality finishing, best quality attacks and they’ve looked decent on the counter.

I expect us to win this without too much difficulty.

Shame about Bailly. Even when there’s nothing he can do about it, he still gets injured! I expect he‘ll be ok for Burnley
