What an embarrassing first half. Zero positives, many negatives. Football is a game and we can't play it. We're not being coached to play it, we're not developing the players to take pride in it, and we let other teams take the absolute piss out of us.

That first-half is the most inept Manchester United performance that I can remember.

    Absolutely shocking. I'm actually stunned.
Yeah me too, I was expecting us to turn up for this one and put in a decent performance. Instead we’ve been made to look like amateurs by a very average Spurs team.

Ten Hag still can't survive this result even if we are down to 10.
New management or not, we are simply not a club who sack managers early in a season.
He will get maybe a warning "improve or you are gone" and that is it.

I think this is the day the process of sacking ETH begins , nothing will be done out front until the international break but behind the scene there will be a scramble top get someone , interim or permanent in during the international break..

There is just no progress , if anything we falling more and more off the pace.

Starting to agree now. I was behind him last season, but if he can’t get us playing well or even grinding out results in his third season, he’s probably never going to.
Agreed. I really wanted to believe. Thought his first season was promising. Grinding out trophies kept me believing in year two, but it had to click in year three and it just isn’t. A shame, but the positive would be if Ineos can show decisive action in recognising it and making the big call.

Shouldn't have been a red, but regardless of that we were lucky to not be down 0-2 at that point anyway.

Also, Mainoo heading straight down the tunnel after having been consoled by Casemiro isn't a good sign.

We'll get no sympathy for the shocking red card decision, but that was one of the worst I've ever seen and the fact we have VAR now and they didn't at least all the referee to look at it proves that VAR is pointless. There should be a rule that the referee must always review a red card decision on the monitor

With all the top management straightened out, the football manager is next. With this clown of a show, surely it's a matter of who they want to bring in?

There's been many many shit examples the past 10 years or so, but think that might just be the worst feckin 1st half performance I've ever seen from a supposed United team, just fecking shocking.
It's the worse ever so far. Second half will start soon.

We all know he's going to leave Rashford on and take Garnacho off for Amad

I'd take Dalot off too, trouble is for who? He's a red card waiting to happen has had a shocker and now on a yellow so can see him lunging in or something and getting sent off

Surely Casemiro for Zirkzee should have been the sub, with Rashford-Garnacho playing as split forwards? I don’t understand how we can play with an Ugarte-Mount midfield.
Agree. You can't carry someone like Zirkzee in this situation

Men against boys. It's not even about quality, just desire and courage to go for the win. Getting outfought by Spurs at home, what a new low. Our conditioning and match preparation are shocking. We look 20% slower than Spurs at everything. It's not how a PL football team should operate.

Still, it's only 1-0. With Spurs playing the way they play, 3 good passes and we have a chance. Put Amad and Hojlund on and hope the defense holds. At least show something.

Don't think I'm gonna bother with the second half, if we couldn't compete with 11 men, 10 aint gonna do it.

    Onana maybe.

Garnarcho has at least tried to be a creative outlook?

    Dreadful the lot of them.
Onana has been fine that's true. Garnacho has maybe been the best outfield player of a bad bunch but still has been average at best.

Pathetic from start to finish, second half is likely going to be worse as well.

Think it's a red tbh. There's no reason for him to go that high at all. He catches him on the shin but he wasn't really in control of it.

The players have no clue on how to retain the ball. Not just now, even when it was 11 vs 11, our players are always to looking to play the killer pass, instead of building up the attack patiently.
It’s bcause Bruno and Rashford want to play that way and ETH is their bitch. Too scared of implementing something modern. Only himself to blame when he gets sacked.

Why is our best performing winger this year on the bench? It’s not saying much but is it normal to play the out of form players over the performing ones?

Time for the manager to go - this is embarrassing and its his fault.

Hope we manage to sell Bruno next summer. Absolutely not fit enough to be a captain. I maintain he was the main reason for the 7-0 against Liverpool. Whenever the going gets tough he's the first one to lose it instead of keeping everyone one in check. Petulant as feck.

You think he tells them to pass to the opposition?

You think he tells them to not press or track their player?

You think he tells them to let Tottenham win every ball?

He doesn’t. You can excuse them for bad tactics sure but you can’t excuse them for lack of heart.
Oh give over. The manager is not bloody good enough.
