How can people have watched Bailly and Lindelof and not want Smalling back in the team? Baffling.

Mourinho ready to sabotage the season, get his paycheck and move on. Why else would you start the walking talking disasters that are smalling and jones?

You're probably one of the United fans who argued Toby and Maguire wouldn't be an upgrade over them in the summer. If you really think they're this bad you need to thank Woodward.

The man in the hot seat for me is Sanchez. When he joined the club last January the explanation was that he was exhausted from his Arsenal/Chile duties and needed to become to the program at Old Trafford. Well, he got the summer break he badly needed yet still turned in a diabolical performance against Brighton.

We know what we're getting with Valencia/Darmian/Smalling/Jones/Bailly/Lindelof/Young/Shaw and you accept it for what it is (well, sort of), but there's really no excuse for the poor performances by Sanchez to date. What I expect is that he knows he has yet to meet expectations and that -- wishful thinking perhaps -- he will finally conform to expectations.

2-1 for United, with Sanchez to contribute to both goals.

    Zero expectation from this.

    Don't see us winning.

Indeed. So diabolical that he didn't even make one successful pass all game. Fair enough, he wasn't actually even playing in the match, so that was a bit of a handicap, but still, for £1m a week, I expect better.

Yes he had a shocker that day!!!

    Agree. He was invisible.

Just shows what a failure our CBs have been that we are wheeling out Smalling and Jones after a disastrous performances by the others.

Must win this, if we have any aspirations for the title.
Matic back is good news, whether he plays CB or CDM. One of the few players on the team I have confidence in. Important game for Sanchez too, big game and hopefully he steps up.

    Strong home record

One thing that isn't in doubt is our home record against Spurs. In the League United have won 10 times and lost twice against Spurs at Old Trafford since 2006. The two defeats came in Fergie's final season and during Moyes' reign of terror.

Just another notification for that bolded part.

They are a very capable duo on their day, trouble is they are both prone to the odd lapse in concentration. It doesn't help much that neither of them is match fit.

We were average against Leicester and woeful against Brighton, I fail to see why we're all of a sudden going to flick a switch and play swashbuckling football against Spurs. When asked at his presser Mourinho said he wanted to eliminate the mistakes and play attacking football and win.Does anybody believe that is the kind of football we're going to play? I can't see it myself.

We don't need to play swashbuckling football to win.

Most managers talk a good game regarding playing attacking football. 99% are lying through their teeth.

José is one of the most defensively minded coaches in the world. He would have to change his entire philosophy tonight against spurs. It’s never going to happen, he doesn’t know how to attack.

    In the building

The United and Spurs squads have entered the building.

I think Mourinho opens the bag up, and let's the boys go have fun. I also have started morning drinking so who knows.
