    You are right.

Looks like when we concede too early against a good team, the boys lack the mental capacity to get back into the game. United versus Chelsea at the Bridge last season and United versus Spurs at Wembley this season quickly come to mind.
We ended up not just losing those games but losing them in embarrassing fashion.

What I will like to see today is good old fashioned fighting spirit. If we lose, we must do so with dignity not go out in a whimper.

But didn’t we just beat city away when we went 2-0 down?

As per Samuel Luckhurst, Pogba and Sanchez start.

If we control Eriksen we win this game. Vital that we control his movements and not concede any silly set pieces because he is an expert from dead ball situations. Someone like Herrera needs to be extra careful if he plays. I don't like the way he dives into tackles.

We need to watch that early Spurs goal this time, the Kane goal in the league was ridiculous.

I think we can win this if we pick the correct line up, I want to see Martial Lukaku Lingard front 3.

I would replace that with '...if we go out there with the right mentality'.

That for me is a bigger challenge. The last time we played Spurs at Wembley, a lot of us were pretty excited about the line up. It looked like for the first time, Jose went all attacking at a big away game. I still think it was a good line up. But the mentality was absolutely pathetic. Once we conceded early in the game, we totally lost it. We have to go there and play football, toe to toe with confidence and the willingness to fight for every ball and hurt the opponent.

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Bailly Young
    Herrera Matic Pogba
    Lingard Lukaku Sanchez

Subs: Pereira, Jones, Lindelof, Fellaini, Mata, Martial, Rashford

Think Jose trusts Bailly more than Jones so pretty sure it'll be him partnering Smalling, probably for the best given what happened in the league fixture. The rest of the lineup is pretty nailed on, only slight question mark is whether Rashford starts instead of Lingard/Sanchez.

But didn’t we just beat city away when we went 2-0 down?

I said 'when we concede too early'
Like in the first two minutes. E.g versus Spurs at Wembley this season and Chelsea at the Bridge last season.

Stop hitting Redcafe with very recent and relevant facts that disprove negativity ok?

That was not negativity mate. I am actually positive about this game.
What I said was that it seems like when we concede too early against good teams we lose it. I gave the examples of Spurs away this season and Chelsea away last season. 'Too early; being first minute or two.

Number 2 in that list is undoable. Beat Spurs press with calmness - Not going to happen, our defenders are just so poor in it. I will rather ask our defenders to hoof the ball when they press , no point in taking risks.

I don't think it's a case of our defenders being poor at it. Whilst they're not the greatest when being pressed, when any team is pressed, regardless of how comfortable they are on the ball, they will make mistakes.

We saw Man City's back line make a number of mistakes at the back against Liverpool, both in the league and CL. Barca did the same against Roma.

Difference is, the managers of those teams encourage their teams to do it regardless of what happens, whereas Mourinho prefers more of a direct approach.

I personally don't mind that, as long as the long ball is hit into an decent area, which can be contested for, i.e channels. No point just hoofing it, because more often than not, it will result in a loss of possession.

Can't believe people don't want Sanchez to start.
He's a world class player that has played in tons of big games. He could win us this match on his own.
After what he did in the derby, you have to start him.

Dammit, that syringe tweet quoting Rashford to start was bull.

Surprised Jones starts, looked a bit knackered after the last game, but definitely deserves it based on his performance. Rest of the team was pretty obvious.

    Let's fecking win this!!!

    Is Bailly injured again?

Have a feeling he's not happy with Bailly. Haven't seen him since Jose criticized our defenders in possession.

Sanchez needs to justify this selection. Really wanted to see Rashford or Martial somewhere in the team.

    Come on lads, it’s Spurs.

Good lineup except for Jones, Bailly should have started, but maybe it'll be the redemption match for Jones ?

Not confident much but let's see.
