Our full back situation is laughable.
Spurs fullbacks don't pull up any trees but ours isn't even a patch on theirs.
Jones and Smalling is a big worry too. We know what Kane did to them in the last game. All in all our defence is a long way away from the standard required and I'm worried we'll get shown up down the flanks today.

Vorm is a good goalkeeper, very good shotstopper. Besides, the position is only important if your goalkeeper is out of this world, something de Gea is and Lloris certainly isn’t. Vorm for Lloris makes no negative difference for them, I’d say they’re very equal.

    Massive game for Sanchez, too.

I have problems with Mourinho, but they don't really contribute to how piss poor Sanchez has been upon arrival. He needs to get his act together big time.

McTominay has been frozen out since the mighty Fellaini's return from injury it seems.

Yep the moment senior player comes back even not fully fit, trust in younger one goes trough window, few other examples proves it, whats worse them being dropped has feck all to do with their current form, quality.

Does the line up prediction not carry over from last time if you forget to submit?

Easiest 11/11 of the season, I imagine Pogba and Sanchez will get in each others way as usual and we'll need to alter things in the 2nd half.

Why are you surprised? It was always going to be that way. Poor McT served his purpose by starting ahead of and providing a bit of humiliation to Pogba. Since that's been achieved, Jose doesn't need him anymore. I would be looking to get a loan for next season if I were him.

I hope not as Mourinho has been using McTominay as an example of him trusting and playing academy players. Knowing how he operates you could be right. Who knows?

This selection makes us very narrow, not sure why we persist but anyway, cmon United!!

smalling and jones plus young equals defeat. and their midfield will swamp ours. we're done

Looks like Jones and Hererra got their spot from the Wednesday game.

Which I think is fair, since both were very good against Bournemouth.
Think Jose knew exactly the team he was going to pick regardless.
Jones is playing ahead of Lindelof and since we are playing with a three, Herrera is ahead of Fellaini and McTominay.

Our defence on paper is the worst of any big side in Europe. Why a club like ours is fielding Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in an FA Cup semi final beyond me. If harry Kane plays well, they win, simple as that.

What are the odds that Jones will be injured in the match and has to be replaced by Lindelof. I would have preferred to have Bailly or Rojo in the bench.

Yep the moment senior player comes back even not fully fit, trust in younger one goes trough window, few other examples proves it, whats worse them being dropped has feck all to do with their current form, quality.

What's more sickening is that he started this departing unfit player in our most important game this season against Sevilla and he unsurprisingly did nothing. How can professional managers be so predictable sometimes?

Hope lingard proves me wrong.... dont think hes the right choice here at all. Need more width and pace.

Never believed a word he said about that.

Anyway, let's just win today, in spite of the 'miserable one':D

Did you forget or is it saying you have zero points? I made my prediction, got 10 out of 11 and its giving me nothing.

what other club the size of ours goes into a cup semi with a real fullback but with a smalling. disaster waiting to happen. wonder if we can get past the one minute mark this time before we give them a goal...

Indeed. I don't care if it gets ugly. Our last performance against Spurs here was so toothless.

Jones is playing ahead of Lindelof and since we are playing with a three, Herrera is ahead of Fellaini and McTominay.

Jones and Hererra have been in and out of the team so I'm not sure that's the case.

We have played with 2 midfielders and a 10 against Spurs in our previous two meeting. This time we have gone for 3 midfielders and a 10. I think that Hererra's performances have led Mourinho to change his approach for this game.

Shite line up. Again we're relying on Valencia and Young for width. Do we ever learn? Lingard and Sanchez like to cut inside and would only work if we had attacking fullbacks. One of Martial and Rashford should've started to provide the width. Sanchez is only starting on his name. He shouldn't be in the line up on current form. And no Bailly is a surprise.

Most predictable line up ever. There wasn’t a chance in hell of Sanchez or Lingard being dropped. Hopefully both put in performances today to justify their starts and all will be rosy cause if not I can see the knives out being sharpened already.

    He's injured...

failed wingers a full back. smalling at CB. the only question is how early we will give them a goal.. oh, and who gets it

I dont know, McT had good game vs Liverpool before Sevilla and ... ah feck it. He will be "if you are old enough, you are good enough" type till he dies, fecking stupid.

Who do you want playing at CB? Smalling has been our best defender this season and there's no point moaning about Young and Valencia when there's no one else currently in the team to replace them. Its been a long ass season for you hasn't it?

Sanchez and Lingard will attempt to crowd the midfield I guess.

That's what Mourinho wants, though, and I'm not sure I get it. Spurs got hammered by a City team who like to keep their wingers on the touchline, especially Sane. They couldn't live with it.

I have problems with Mourinho, but they don't really contribute to how piss poor Sanchez has been upon arrival. He needs to get his act together big time.
he is one of the few players we've got who can win games single-handedly... if he remembers how to play at all

He must be injured. No other explanation.
