We had one bad performance so we arent in great form?

Liverpool was poor. Strategy or not, it was awful stuff. Benfica was pretty unremarkable too.

Don't think it's too controversial to say we're not on a great run.

I really dont see how it's going to work with Matic and Herrera in midfield. I think we might switch to a 352 with Lukaku and Rashford up top.

i wouldnt say we are in poor form but we werent so great vs basel even though we won, obviously shit vs huddersfield and i guess everyone is still anoyed at the game vs liverpool especially since Spurs swatted them away. We arent in top form but i wouldnt say we are also out of form.

Pogba's personality is being missed if you ask me, need to show some class tomorrow, no sloppy passes or feck ups!

Jose needs to show his balls too, if Kane doesn't play then United should have nothing to fear and be able to bully them until they break.

Am much more confident now Kane is out. It solves alot of issues, most importantly allowing for a back 4 and not a wing back enabled back 5.

We still need proper defenders to contain Son, Alli and Erikson, so should play Blind or Darmian instead of Young at LB. I'd also play Lingard instead of Mata, as he provides quicker discipline in defensive duties.

Tactics should be phased. Start strong and try and sneak a goal. If we don't score within 20 mins, then we should go tight and play the counter up til 70 mins, at which point we unleash Martial for pace and Mata for skills against a tiring Spurs defense for a strong charge at the end.

    DDG
    Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Blind
    Matic, Herrera
    Lingard, Mhkitariyan, Rashford
    Lukaku

Bring on Mata and Martial to replace Lingard and Rashford from 65 mins onwards.

I think out team will be really up for this and the fans will be loud and intimidating. I think we win 3-1

Not that disagree but I any chance you could explain the rationale behind your thinking here please with respect to the defensive set up?

We have a point to prove, after the Huddersfield game. Thankfully Jones and Bailly could both feature, Mata and Mkhitaryan both must raise their game specially after their latest displays. Win will gain us confidence and keep us pushing the top we want to be real challengers for the title so those are the games we have to win.

I think we will score early, but Spurs will equalize as they too much quality. We should then allow them to have the ball, to tire them abit til 70 mins. That's why we play Blind and Lingard, as they provide better defensive cover.

At that point, Martial and Mata come on to finish off the game. Maybe also replace Blind with Young, But at that point, Mourinho needs to gamble by instructing our full backs to go forward, and our wingers to stay upfield.

Abit like our previous 4-0 wins this season.

So... Midfield. Herrera and Matic are definitely starters. Who comes in if, god forbid, one of them picks up an injury? I reckon it's gotta be either Jones or Blind. No one else has the potential to win the ball in central midfield and turn defence into attack. Agree? If so, would you prefer Jones or Blind? Both have cover in their more usual positions.

I know it seems extreme, but it feels like this is a must win. Need to respond to critics who suggest we can't get up for big games, and stay within touching distance with City. Even a draw today will set us back a long way.

    I would play

    De gea

    Valencia
    Bailly
    Smalling
    Blind

    Herrera
    Matic

    Lingard
    Mkhitaryan
    Rashford

    Lukaku

Mkh needs to have a great game today. Last time he picked up from spurs game, need to step up again from this fixture.

This has a 0:0 draw written all over it and I think both managers would be happy with it.

Bastard. I can't watch this live. I am going out for curry with three women. We'll talk about make-up and knickers probably.
    8.30pm kick off here.

I believe Jose will attack, but definitely not gung ho. It's OT.

Women. Curry. Highlights. Sounds like a perfect Saturday to me.

I'm not sure exactly why but ive got a good feeling about this one. Feels like a huge game, we need a response after the last few weeks and playing at home against a top team might just be a blessing. 2-0 united

It’s more tiring without the ball when you play!

Need to pick up some points this week. Couple of positions up for grabs. Will Young start? Will Bailly start? Will Lingard start?
