last game we didn't play well, were too slow and lack of creativity upfront. i bet this game we put kagawa into upfront to partner with rooney. and in midfield to select cleverely increase the pace of the game. obviously we go for a prudent way to kick off our first game. lingard has finally got his chance. hope he do well

Think it's a big difference playing wing back in pre season to a competitive game and there's a lot of inexperience there. But I think the midfield onwards have done well. I'd like to have seen Januzaj in but I'm sure his fitness isn't quite there yet but I just think he adds some variety, think we're too dependent on our passing being quality atm.
Still Blackett I think has shown potential, surprised Lingard got the nod over James just because of his defensive inexperience but either is a gamble.
